"We have traveled extensively and I can honestly say this home exceeded our every expectation! I could go on and on about the view, which is amazing. The mornings spent watching the sun rise over the water were a staple! Or all of the fun things to do just at the house itself; Chess, ping pong, huge hot tub, fire pit, darts, games, and hiking the incredible property where this home sits. But what we liked most is that it feels like a very loved home! The accents around the house are lovely, tasteful, fun, and not generic like most rentals. We instantly felt right at home! The town of Wiscasset is lovely and has some unique shops and amazing lobster rolls. It is close to Booth Bay and Pemaquid, both of which are well worth the visit. Bar Harbor is less than 3 hours away and Camden is a great stopover on the way.Several days we never left the house though because we were so content. The property is so peaceful and private. It felt like a slice of heaven! The hosts were wonderful and so easy to reach when we had a few questions.I cannot recommend this home highly enough!! We plan to return!"

"The space had good character and space with some charming architectural features, lots of light and pretty views. Conveniently located in easy driving distance to Boothbay, Harbor and around. Very quiet at night. Shower was pleasant, kitchen had the basics, and there were enough towels and blankets. Minisplits conditioned the space well. The narrow spiral staircase to the loft might not be comfortable for some people to use."

"Pros:House was spacious.Kitchen, bathrooms and floors were cleaned before we arrived.Kitchen was well stocked.Kitchen drawers and cabinets were labeled.There was plenty of toilet paper and the shampoo, body wash, etc. were nice.The washer and dryer worked well.The location was a good base for sightseeing by car.The house was quiet even though on a main street.Cons:House and grounds felt neglected. There were spiders and cobwebs around the baseboards and even in one of the kitchen drawers. There were crumbs and other small debris on the kitchen drawer liners. There was a dead tree or shrub trunk in the front yard. The house needs a good deep clean and inspection.The dish sponge provided was not new and looked like it had been used many times.There was only one almost empty box of facial tissue and no laundry detergent.The owner was not able to arrange for the light fixture over the kitchen sink to be repaired during our 3-night stay.The location is not suitable for taking a pleasant walk right from the house.The water heater provides enough hot water for only two showers at a time, and that assumes the washer is not using hot water.The screened porch did not look inviting as pictured in the ad."

"It's not very often you walk into a rental and instantly feel at home! Everything was spotless! The living room was so cozy and comfortable! The beautiful kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans! There were fans in each room and A/C 's in the bedrooms, if needed. One night there was a short power outage and the Generac kicked right in! The TV is easy to use and had all of our favorite channels! Most of all, the peace and quiet!! The view from the front porch is just as good as the out back deck! All in all, it was wonderful!! Jen and Seth were very responsive and kind! Hope to make it back next year!!"

"The house was very clean! The space was perfect for the seven of us and we really enjoyed the cottage for some great ping pong and Connect 4 competition! Restaurants in the area were excellent too! Jessica was very responsive to any questions I had!"

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very thankful for a sincere and thoughtful hostess who was always available and responsive. Perfect getaway for families that get and appreciate the peace and quiet Westport Island vibe with close access to Rte. 1, Wiscasset, Boothbay, and beyond."

"If you’re looking for a small, secluded, modern-rustic house for a small group, this is one to consider. Great views and location. House was VERY clean; a few housekeeping “issues” were identified and relayed to Jeffrey who was quick to respond. Although we only stayed 2 nights, Jeffrey was a top-notch host who was in constant contact to include dining and activity suggestions to make sure our stay was an enjoyable one……which it was!!!!!"
