"We had a great stay for our family of 3. Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. We had an amazing room with a view of the pool and beach. It was great to have access directly to the boarwalk from the pool area. The location was pretty un-beatable. Lots of restaurants as well as a grocery store a block away. We took Uber many times from our hotel and pickup was always super easy (next to the fire station). Rooms were clean and bright and very comfortable. Staff was always feiendly and helpful. Breakfast was a plus. The waffle maker was the highlight but there were plenty of other options as well. Pool was heated as well so that was great. Other families were staying as well and eveyone seemed to have enough space to enjoy their time. They even provide towels and toys to enjoy at the beach. The big plus was being able to leave lugguge after checkout because we had a late evening flight. They allowed us to stay and use the pool and restrooms until we had to leave which saved us a lot of headache. Overall an amazing stay and would highly recommend."

"Very lame hotel. Was built in 1970's and hasn't had any upgrades since. Waaaayyyy overpriced for quality of amenities. "

"Overall great place to stay. Parking was ample, staff was friendly and late checkout was free. Night clubnext door was loud until about 10 or 1030, and room view was of a parking lot, but room smelled great and lobby was decorated very cute and included a cafe for convenience. Pool had great view of the beach and we were but steps from the sand. Coffee maker didnt work in the room, but with so many great places to walk to, we didnt mind. "

"Not all the tv channels worked. Did say something and nobody came and fixed it. Angel at the front desk during check in was very nice. Wasn't a fan of having to ask for a hair dryer. There is room for it. Could also put microwaves in the rooms. Too inconvenient to have to go down and use the one in the lobby. I will stay here again. Great access to the beach."

"They charge $10 plus tax for parking with no guarantee that you will have a parking spot. We had to park on the street overnight when we returned from dinner but still had to pay the parking fee. We were assigned room 115 which is literally right off of the street. It is outside of all security gates to the property. The only thing separating us from everyone walking on the sidewalk is the door to our room. Not ideal for a restful night of sleep. Paid $250+ with Hotels.com advance reservation. Not worth it."

"Nice hotel with reasonable rates right off the boardwalk in north Pacific Beach. My only notable issues were that I was not told that housekeeping was on an "as-requested" basis. Fine by me, but that should have been mentioned during check-in. But what irked me more was that I requested a late check out, and was told by one person at the front desk that I would be given until noon before any additional charges applied (normal check-put is 11:00 a.m.). Mind you, I started the whole conversation by introducing myself with my full name and room number. Based on that, I then planned to depart no later than noon on my checkout day. At 11:30, while I was waiting for my ride to pick me up, I stopped by the front desk to let them know that I was still in the room, but planning on leaving within the next 30 minutes (again, introducing myself with my full name and room number). The front desk person working had no note of my "approved" noon checkout time or previous conversation. They made it sound like the late fee clock starts right at 11:31 a.m. and they were doing me a big favor by letting me stay until noon (I actually ended up leaving before that, which I was happy to do, since I no longer felt welcome). Other than those two minor issues, I would recommend that property, as along as you know what to expect. Anything that close to water shows wear and tear much more quickly than an inland property. For their prices, you have to cut them some slack on that front."

"Great beach, coffee shop, restaurants everything is close. The pool small and not working and no hot tub. Location great and room with Oceanview very nice. If you want location an excellent spot if you want amenities like a pool go somewhere else. "
