Nice Hotel with pool and beach

We loved our quiet peaceful beachfront hotel. Dining outside with ocean view swimming in pool and ocean. Long walk on the beach. Since we had to leave very early they sent breakfast with us!

Приятный тихий отель прямо на берегу, в стороне от суеты Паже. Вежливый персонал, стараются помочь по любому вопросу. Имеется три маленьких бассейна, лежаки и зонтики на парапете у пляжа. Хорошая кухня. Завтрак по меню, нет шведского стола. Просторные бунгало, есть сейф, холодильник, чайник, кондиционер, потолочный вентилятор. Состояние оборудования и мебели не идеальное, но достаточно приличное. Пожалуй, из серьезных недостатков можно назвать только периодическое отсутствие горячей воды. Ежедневно обрабатывают бунгало от комаров. Хороший выбор за свою цену.

5 stars if the food were better

We enjoyed our stay here, the rooms are very large and comfortable for sleeping - it seemed to be too airtight for mosquitoes to enter which was good. The downside was that the cooked food could be better - on our first day we ordered some lunch but some of it was burned to a crisp and not edible. 2 out of the 3 meals we had at lunch were very disappointing. Everything else is great and the staff are very friendly.

Great and affordable hotel, right on the beach!

Spent 5 days over Christmas at Ocean Blue. It was a perfect hotel for a beach vacation. Never really left the hotel/beach, so can't say much about the local area besides the beach (which was great). The room was very nice, and the staff was super friendly and very attentive. They would know what you wanted and needed and have it ready for you, before you knew you wanted it. I would definitively stay at Ocean Blue again!

Immer wieder!

Das Zanzibar Ocean Blue ist ein eine kleine Anlage direkt am Meer gelegen mit äußerst angenehmen Bungalows, modern, groß, komfortabel eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die beiden Pools werden täglich gereinigt, sind angenehm temperiert und einladend. Der Service ist unaufdringlich freundlich und lässt keine Wünsche offen, das Frühstück mit Wahlmöglichkeiten ist umfassend, geschmackvoll und wird individuell und zeitnah serviert. Die Hauptmahlzeiten sind von Angebot und Umfang vielfältig und bekömmlich. Die nähere Umgebung lädt zu Spaziergängen, Entdeckungen des Dorfes und der Freizeitmöglichkeiten am Strand ein. Ausflugsmöglichkeiten werden kostengünstig und komfortabel arrangiert. Einkaufmöglichkeiten sind auf kurzen Wegen erreichbar. Insgesamt ist dies Hotel eine zu empfehlende Perle am Strand von Paje!

Relaxing holiday

We had a wonderful holiday in this hotel. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was large and very comfortable and nice and quiet. Each room was a detached bungalow with lounge furniture and it's own balcony. All rooms had a seaview. The pools were lovely and well maintained. The location was quiet which suited us.

Sauberes Hotel

Das Hotel ist schön, klein und sauber. Es gibt schon ein paar Abnutzungen und kleine Schönheitsfehler. Leider (wir hatten das Bungalow direkt zum Beach) hat die Türe nicht dicht geschlossen, somit war ein permanenter Luftzug (auch hörbar) im Zimmer. Die wurde auch nach mehrmaligem Anmerken nicht behoben...Man hat uns zwar angeboten Hotel zu wechseln, aber der Aufpreis für "Beachfront" war in diesem Fall nicht gerechtfertigt! Unser Wasserhahn hat über 14 Tage getropft - auch das wurde nicht behoben. Als der Café im Zimmer leer war, wurde dieser nicht nachgefüllt. Wir waren zum Kitesurfen vor Ort. Hatten einen leeren Spot direkt vor dem Hotel - das war super! Das Frühstück ist OK, aber auch etwas eintönig. Pole, pole (langsam, langsam) trifft auch beim Frühstück zu, aber das ist auf Sansibar generell ein Tempo an das man sich gut gewohnt :) Das Personal ist super bemüht und freundlich! Auch der Hotelmanager ist immer vor Ort und sehr bemüht um seine Gäste! Sauberkeit top (das Zimmer wurde 1x am Tag gereinigt und 1x abends frisch aufgebettet mit "calm down" und Insektenspray vorbereitet zum Schlafengehen). Die Lage ist an einem ruhigen Strandteil (letztes Hotel in der Kitebucht), zum Supermarkt und zu den Restaurants ist es somit leider ein etwas weiterer Weg (Fußmarsch ca. 15 Minuten).

Great location and views, very good value

We were in one of the rooms at the front, views were amazing, really enjoyed the stay. Paje beach is great, just be aware of the tides. If you want to try kitesurfing there is not better place. For dinner there is a lovely place just next to hotel were you can dine by the beach under the moon and stars. Food at the hotel is good, would recommend for lunch, for dinner the place next door has more charm. Staff very helpful. Highly recommended!

traumhaft schön!!!

es war ein absoluter traumurlaub. strand, meer, klima usw usw. alles absolut gigantisch gut!!! klar gibt es immer was zu verändern, aber für ein 3,5 sterne hotel mit 8 zimmern war es ruhig charmant, direkt am strand und sehr nette mitarbeiter!!! was will man mehr! werde bestimmt wieder hinfahren!!! trotz mancher komplikationen bezüglich elektrik, strom usw. gibt es in jedem hotel, restaurant, tauch center, kite center usw usw. gibts es freies wlan, gigantisch gut!!! wenn man nach tansania fährt, um genauer zu sein auf die insel sansibar / paje (wie in meinem fall) sollte man sich klar sein, dass es afrika ist, d.h. es kann mal einen stromausfall geben, die sonne brennt nach 30 min dir die haut weg und das essen ist einfach anders zubereitet, kein europäischer standard! dies schreibe ich ganz bewusst, weil ich es ganz schlimm finde wenn sich gäste darüber beschweren, wie z.b.: warum ist dass den heute so heiß und warum ist das meer heute soweit weg, (hat nur noch der satz gefehlt, der sand ist aber auch sehr heiß!!!) naja bei ebbe und flut kann es schon mal sein, dass das meer ein bißchen auf sich wartet!!! ;-) es war für mich einer meiner schönsten urlaube und ich weiß, dass ich humphrey und sein ocean blue team bald wieder besuchen werde!!!

Vista e relax

Bellissima vista sul mare, sicuramente la migliore a Paje. Posto molto tranquillo, poche camere, molto grandi, confortevoli e pulite. Doccia enorme e aria condizionata in camera. Colazione buona, servita ai tavoli con ordinazione alla carta. Cena buona, ma limitata per chi è vegetariano come me (a parte pizza e pasta, che io evito all'estero, c'era un curry di verdure e un burger vegetale). Staff molto gentile e disponibile.
