"I stayed at the Azaya Beach Resort and originally booked a 7-night stay. However, due to the extremely poor condition of the hotel and multiple safety concerns, I checked out the following day and booked another hotel instead. Upon check-in, the shower in my room was not working. I informed the staff and asked them to fix it while I went out for dinner. When I returned, nothing had been repaired, and worse, my room had been left unlocked with three laptops, my passport, and other valuables inside. This was completely unacceptable and highly unsafe. The room itself was in very poor condition. There were stains on the bedding and bathrobes, the slippers provided were far too small, and the bathroom doors had no “push” or “pull” signage. Initially, I thought the shower door was broken because it barely opened when pulled. When I asked staff for assistance, they told me that was simply how far it opened. Only later did I discover it needed to be pushed instead. There was also no rubbish bin in the room. Housekeeping standards were extremely poor. The curtains were blackened at the bottom, no one replenished amenities the next day, and the tea, coffee, and cups were never replaced. The lighting and switches throughout the room were confusing and poorly designed. The mirrors were peeling away at the edges, several floor tiles were cracked, there was no desk to work from, and the television screen had a visible shadow defect.The food quality was also terrible. It won't let me type"

"The property was amazing! It truly defined a heritage hotel — every corner felt authentically Goan. The staff were wonderful and the food was amazing too, though a bit on the pricier side as expected"

"Excellent location for beach walks , shacks, late evenings to watch sunset from beach with a drink. Staff can't do enough, really helpful. Taxes at resort are 18% , though that is the same in all. Avoid wine unless you're happy pay about £16 a glass."

"Staff were just brilliant. Very helpful and attentive. Very professional and happy to see staff are locals from Goa. Even in the restaurant the chefs and waiters were so accommodating and helpful. Special shout out to Chef Amey Chef Denzil and Ronan. They looked after us very well. Thanks a lot. Only think I would say is the rooms were very dusty and the aircon in my room was not working properly. Very hot. And could not be fixed."

"Staff and front desk were very hospitable. Shomit and Sruti provided us with great tourist spots to visit. The restaurant staff and Amel checked in on your needs and provided great service and care. The picnic by the pool was a lovely treat and a great way to enjoy the weather and pool amenities. Benalium beach is a 100m walk with various food options. "

"Really dated I booked an indulgence room. It was terrible Swimming pool is in the shade and really cold water. Only 6 sun loungers around it because nobody went in the pool. Clean towels supplied smelt horrible. Always got dirty feet when I had a shower as they obviously don’t clean the floor"

"All the staff was extremely helpful and very accommodating even though we had a big group. Pool and restaurant was good. Worth the price, would definitely come back. Great place to stay!! "
