"The hotel is conveniently located just a short distance downhill from Piazza Garibaldi (the entry to the main pedestrian zone of Cortona). However, parking is on-street nearby and arriving on a fine Saturday afternoon, it was challenging to find a space. I had to park in a paid space located a distance away for check-in, and only managed to find a free spot later when the day tourists had left. Parking issues aside, the hotel itself is lovely and cosy, and all the staff I met, from reception to restaurant, were genuinely warm and attentive. The breakfast was a standout – instead of the usual dry scrambled eggs and limp bacon, there was asparagus wrapped in bacon, baked eggplant topped with diced tomato, baked stuffed tomatoes, fried eggs with avocado slides, and many more visually appealing dishes I did not have space in my stomach to sample. I have never had such a unique and delicious hotel breakfast anywhere. The hotel also offered some small bites for happy hour in the evening, but these were not as good as breakfast and were quickly gone without being replenished. I got a very good deal on Expedia, visiting in the off-season in late November. If the price is right, I would definitely stay at Hotel Villa Marsili again if I return to Cortona or its vicinity. Highly recommended hotel!"

"We were able to drive up to the door and leave our car with staff. Staff was amazing. Breakfast had many options and always replenished. It is right off the main piazza. Would stay again for sure!"

The beds were comfortable and clean, the balcony view was beautiful, the apartment and furniture were clean, and we loved the personal interactions with the hosts - they were welcoming, helped us carry our bags up the stairs, and helped us coordinate a taxi ride. "Clean, quiet, somewhat basic. Excellent location a short hike uphill from the busy central piazzas. A challenge to drive to through exceedingly narrow, steep streets, but we parked directly in front of the B&B (lucky!). Beatrice very helpful. Wi-Fi can be unreliable. Continental breakfast was unremarkable. A good spot, though. "

"We loved our stay at Il Roseto, in the central area of old Cortona. Short walks to restaurants and espresso cafes was just what we were looking for. Everything was clean when we moved in, the kitchen is fully equipped and Fernando the host very helpful. "
