The staff were very accommodating and nice. The hotel is kept clean and they will give you anything that you ask for, as needed. (Just ask) A lot of construction going on in the area, it can make getting anywhere a little difficult, but you can navigate it with a little practice. Breakfast was good with a few choices that seem to follow Italian custom. It's charming inside and everyone is nice.
Breakfast food Fresh. Clean Room. Air Condition not needed or used. Staff Nice & good. Like the location.
In the Old Town and walked to most everything about 6-7 miles a day. Not Luxury but would recommend it.
Great small hotel very close to the city center of Palermo situated in a quiet street. Nice room and very good italian breakfast with excellent coffee. Friendy staff
Excellent and great value hotel right in the centre of Palermo. Very good staff. I had a comfortable single room with ensuite bathroom with a good shower. Amazingly quiet for the centre of the city. Good breakfast.
The best part was the help and friendliness of the front desk staff. In particular Guiseppe was extremely nice and courteous. He provided all the information and answered all my questions promptly. My only difficulty was that I could not get picked up in front of the hotel since the road was not available for all cars. The breakfast buffet was very well done. I would definitely go back again.
Convenience to centre of old town. Location is good

The hotel is basic but rooms are clean, bed comfortable and the staff generally helpful. The breakfast is very poor indeed and leaves a lot to be desired - but this is not a problem given the price. You cannot expect 5 star luxury for the price of a 2 star. Also the hotel does not have a lift so not suitable for anybody with mobility issues.
The building is quite old, with beautiful architecture and some quality antique bedroom furniture. There is no lift, but no problem! I am not the fittest person and this was noticed so my suitcase was carried up to the room - by a very polite young man called Marco who should go far in the hospitality trade. A very quiet location, even though it is only a stone's throw from Via Maqueda, one of the busiest streets in Palermo's historic centre. All in all, a great find - well done Expedia.
The room was clean, basic but comfortable . The staff was kind, helpful and responsive The location is perfect for exploring the historic center of Palermo.

Right where you want to be, location wise. Bed was comfy. The whole place needs some work, but they are doing it! The problem is that they start at 630 am and continue till 6 at night. Staff was great. I'm sure this place will be top notch when they're done with the construction
Really close to the centre with spacious room, comfortable bed and helpful staff.
Some work going on, it doesn’t cause disruption, but means you enter through the side rather than the main entrance.
The Hotel Columbia is perfectly located near the Quattro Canti just off the Via Maqueda. My room had a bed, a balcony, telly, a/c, and an en suite bathroom/shower. Breakfast was also included. Everything I wanted.
A pleasant surprise, was that I could buy local wines, and they would put it in their fridge. Sicily has lovely white wines, too!
The only negative thing, is I'd arrange airport transfers to and from the hotel myself to avoid any language barriers/confusion.

Toilet would not flush. Toilet seat wobbled. AC(?) caused door rattling noise. Cleaning staff noisy outside. Phone did not work but staff responded promptly thru website. Very small shower area. No elevator and had to go thru 6 flights of stairs. Staff helped with luggage. Motion sensors for light unpredictable and sometimes left me in total darkness while moving around.
A/C very weak. Holes in the walls, poorly maintained - shower head holder broken, towel hook holder falling out of the wall. Maid service only every 2 days. However it was a comfortable bed and spacious room. Complimentary breakfast snacks and coffee. Overall not the best but definitely not the worst. Average. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep in a good location, it works for your needs
Next to the interesting places of the city, 15 minutes walk from railway station. Nice room, limited shampoo. Friendly people willing to help you. No elevator but because I had problem walking stairs they change my room to first floor. Breakfast with a big variety of sweets.

It was perfectly fine for a budget hotel. The staff was nice and helpful. Just wish there was more hangers in my closet
Excellent location, just off Via Maqueda. Everything is walkable in Palermo.
Lots of great bars and restaurants nearby.
Our room was basic but clean - aircon good but a bit noisy.
Hotel staff friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very basic - meat, cheese, tomato and lots of sweet pastries. Ask for a cappuccino- its much better than the jug thats on the buffet table.
We think for the price we paid, the hotel was great- would definitely stsy here again.
