The hotel needs some attention and updates. Our room was filthy with sticky floors, hair all along the floor of the bathtub and in the tub itself and on the shower curtain. The top bedspread had not been washed and smelled like body odor. The door lock would work randomly and was a pain to get into the room. The luggage carts are broken or falling apart. I have never had an experience like this at any Hampton Inn & Suites and they are my preferred chain when traveling. Very disappointed in the condition and cleanliness of this hotel.

Many aspects of the room were run down, were loose, and didn't function well. No hot water in the shower for a full 5 minutes at least in the mornings. Also we weren't given many towels and with room servicing every 2 days, i asked for more and was told by the manager housekeeping was on my floor somewhere and I could track them down to ask for more myself. They should've asked housekeeping to bring them to me. I have a young toddler and two other kids; it is not easy or appropriate for a guest to have to track down housekeeping, interrupt them while they are working in another room to awkwardly ask for our own towels and more cups.

Our stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Palm Coast was great, due in large part to the comfort of our room. Our first night was not great as there was a steady drip from the bathroom exhaust fan, which we initially attributed to the heavy rainstorm. In the morning the rain had cleared, but not the drip, so we reported it to the front desk clerk. They moved us to a new room with an upgrade, which was appreciated. The staff we encountered were all friendly and courteous. The breakfast had a wonderful variety of choices to eat, though I personally found the egg dishes to be rubbery and uneatable. The choices in waffle batters made up for this. The hotel was convenient to our house hunting expedition, as well as many stores, restaurants and the beach. I recommend this hotel.
