    Full of classic mid-century design and all the comforts of 21st-century living, this three-bedroom property offers a wonderful home base for a family or a group of friends near the heart of Palm Springs. Designed by Donald Wexler AIA in an iconic butterfly-roof design, this home was thoughtfully remodeled in 2012 and now offers an updated air conditioning system, dual-paned windows and sliders, and a new 50-foot swimming pool with a shallow tanning ledge, a fountain, umbrella holes, and an attached spa. The south-facing backyard is punctuated by citrus and palm trees, a gas barbecue, and comfortable seating for admiring the view of Mt. San Jacinto. Each evening, you can retire to the living room and the warming gas fireplace to stream Netflix and Hulu on the 48-inch Smart TV.

    This home is located three miles east of downtown Palm Springs and Palm Canyon Drive, the main strip that's known for its excellent restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, and nightlife. When you're not out and about on the town, you can tee off at incredible golf courses in the area, take a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (seven miles west), or go for a hike in Tahquitz Canyon (five miles southwest) or Indian Canyons (eight miles south). The famous shopping district of El Paseo is also only 13 miles southeast in downtown Palm Desert.

    Things to Know
    -Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
    -The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.
    -Pool and Spa heating can be purchased for an extra fee per day. Pricing can vary, depending on the size of the pool and spa, it can take up to 48 hours to heat. Please reach out prior to arrival if you are interested in adding this amenity.

My family of six had a great stay! We’ve visited Palm Springs many times and always rent different houses, and this one was one of our favorites. The huge pool was the star of the show, which is key when it’s 9million degrees out. The home was very clean and the kitchen well stocked with all that we needed. The house does sit alongside a busy road, but street noise wasn’t an issue. The location is great as far as being just a few minutes from grocery stores and such. Our one gripe would be that we didn’t have access to park our car in the garage, which in 118 degree weather is a must. Overall this is a great place with a fabulous pool.

Quaint mid century home

The house is quite lovely. It’s centrally located near the airport. Overall we loved our stay. There were just a few issues. Pros: centrally located minutes from grocery stores, shopping and night life. The backyard is private and beautiful. Great view of the full moon. The pool is awesome.The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to eat in. Plenty of towels. Cons: Busy street behind property with lots of traffic noise. Airport is close so there’s airplane noise. No music is allowed outside but we heard loud music every day and night we were there. Pool maintenance was supposed to come Friday and didn’t come until check out day (Monday) No supplies to clean counters and dining table.

Very nice mid-century getaway. Very clean, roomy, well equipped kitchen. Lovely pool area. Great location, with convenient access to most Palm Springs attractions. Will definitely want this one again!

Wonderful place.

Cool, little mid century getaway! Lots of room, comfortable beds, and well equipped kitchen. Very clean place. Nice pool area. Also very convenient location for getting around Palm Springs. Will definitely stay here again!

Nice place, needs better management

Property is managed by Vacasa. When we arrived we found a filthy pool but the house was decent. Discovered the dryer didn’t work because the start button was missing. Reached out to Vacasa and they said the local manager would be in touch, but didn’t hear from them prior to our departure. Three tv remotes for the living room TV, one had no batteries, one had dead batteries, so we had to shuffle batteries between remotes. Nice neighborhood that is about a 10 minute drive to downtown area.

Nice place but needs better management

Upon arriving the house was good, but the pool was very filthy. The pool was the main reason for booking this place. Dryer didn’t work, we reached out about the issue and they said they would let local manager know, but we don’t hear anything back on the issue prior to leaving. Batteries in the three TV remotes needed to operate were either dead or missing so we had to move batteries from the one good remote to the others to navigate the the TV. They had a few games and puzzles but both the game and puzzle we tried were missing pieces. Decent neighborhood about a 10 minute drive from downtown.

Great Mid Mod home!

If you would like to transport back to a mid century modern neighborhood, this is the place for you to rent! Tucked away in the El Rancho Vista Estates, this house provides privacy and a great pool, away from the hustle and bustle. Only minutes from the Air Museum and downtown. Our family loved our stay! Thanks!

The house was cute and well stocked. Not too noisy with the major road nearby. Pool/yard maintenance comes twice a week according to the house binder - one day it was at 7am with a leaf blower outside our window. Unsure if there was an issue with the water heater but it never got very warm. Even in the desert, I don't prefer a cold shower. Owner communication was not accommodating at all.

It was like getting a wild deal for a place with every imaginable kitchen tool, excellent air conditioning and an amazing pool. Easiest vacation ever? And not a bunch of weird chores to do at the end? Amazing.

Daddy/daughter vacay

Beautiful landscaping and yard. Pool was perfect, altho I think the pool heating is priced way too high and our hot tub went cold for the last two days of our stay. House was modest but very nice. Kitchen worked as it should (tho I think staples - sugar, salt/pepper and olive oil should be standard). Hanging out by the pool is what we came for — and it was a 10 out of 10 for that.

Mountain Views from the Pool

10/10 property and neighborhood. The backyard pool area with views of the mountains is stunning. Started every morning out there with a cup of coffee, checking email and listening to the birds sing. The neighborhood is a MCM dream and absolutely loved the vibe. The house was spotless. This is our 2nd time staying at a Vacasa property in PS and will always book with them. Chec, in/check out super easy. This locale was great for us to get to Joshua Tree, Salton Sea but less than 10 minutes to downtown PS.

Nice Location

The mid century house. Location is good. Little noisy from vehicles on Vista Chino road. Loved the large bedroom and bathroom. Pool is great. We did not pay extra to heat the pool. Water is cold. Summer should be OK for Water temperature. Washer/dryer available. Really enjoyed our time at the house. I feel it has a good vibe!

My New Favorite Perfect Weekend Getaway House

The house is located in a gorgeous mid century modern neighborhood with unique character. The back yard has a beautiful pool, perfect size outdoor dining area and well appointed desert landscaping. Its convenient to grocery stores (we cooked most meals in and there's nothing the kitchen didn't have) and not too far to get to downtown, I definitely hope to be back in this house again soon!

If You Like Mid Century Modern…

Entering the neighborhood was like stepping back in time. Loved the house inside and out. Clean, comfortable, and a fun cocktail bar. Pool was a huge plus. Beautifully landscaped.

Birthday get away

Our family had a great time the house was spacious and the pool was the center of attraction. The weather was what we expected and enjoyed the time outside with family. P.S I liked the soft water shower and bathroom lights 😀

A Solid Home with Great Character

This is our second time at this home, and the house nestled within this mid century modern neighborhood truly embodies the Palm Springs ethos. My kids loved the massive pool, and the hot tub is a nice treat for the night time. I docked one star only because I noticed minor areas in need of upgrades (A/C isn’t strong in the common areas; curtains needed in guest rooms), which I messaged about to Vacasa. Their customer service is great, and I’m sure they’ll relay to the owners. Still, I would highly recommend.

Very cute modern house

Perfect layout. great bedrooms and bathrooms. The backyard was huge and so was the pool. Only downfalls were the Wifi which was spotty and the area of palm springs I didn't realize was known to be super windy so we had to really clean the pool each morning. Overall great house!
