Let me start by saying I have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, for many years. I like the homey feel over hotels. But most feel “staged”. Not this one. The home is filled with love, history and family. Beautifully decorated, like you would do if it was your home. Once you get past the feel of the home it has everything you need even things like sugar for my tea, coffee pods, nice soaps, tp, pots, pans, kitchen utensils…Everything. All the fun stuff too, kayaks, beach chairs, tons of board games. But even with the weather cooler what we loved the most was listening to the waves crashing on the beach, watching the dolphins every morning, sunsets and star gazing… every night. All of this right from the balcony’s (screened porches) and the beach deck chairs. The neighborhood has tennis courts, pool and a fishing pier. It’s a bit of a drive to get to a major grocery store (20-25 min) and 10-15 min to little stores and restaurants. Fine for us we stocked up on day one and grabbed extras while we were out for touring or dinner. But it’s not a place you can plan to walk up to shop and ice cream. Not what we were looking for,so again, great for us.
The owners messaged to us know they were available if we needed them but didn’t bug us.
We went on a great fishing trip with captain Dustin Fyshhunter Charters. Booked thru fishingbooker. The gulf specimen aquarium is well worth the $15 to get in. We Love everything about it and have already recommended Legasea to friends!
