Try out beaches in the South and the North. It takes one and a half hour to visit the beaches in the North and an hour to the South. A private taxi costs around INR 3,000 a day and worth it.

The Portuguese area is cute, and the churches are quite nice, but if you're a foodie, I wouldn't consider it a hotspot for great dining spots. There are a few that are standouts, though, like Black Sheep Bistro and Fisherman's Wharf.
