"The Empress is just what one would expect from this very special chain of hotels - elegant, historic, classy, with excellent staff (particularly in the Gold level). Sometimes, hotels are simply locations which one uses as a base for activities; although the Empress was at the centre of activities, the lounges were so inviting and relaxing that we had to question whether we just wanted to sit and relax or go sightseeing; we ended up going out a little less and sitting back and doing nothing just a little more."
"Robin Hood was a bright spot in our first visit to Canada. The room was very clean, comfortable and convenient to many sites. We didn't use the available bikes but can see why so many people that are from out of town would...they love biking here! We, on the other hand are walkers and spent lots of time walking the Galloping Goose trail into downtown as parking can be an issue. Wonderful restaurants closer to RH and definitely walkable especially Glo. Speaking of food, the breakfast at RH is nice. A variety of cereals, yogurts, fruits, breads and a fun pancake maker. We stayed again after a trip to the West Coast and again pleased with the consistency of service. Adding a big shout out to Yousaf! He was so kind and helpful. Always had a smile and solution to any concern such as requesting a room without stair access or wanting the "quiet" side. All in all a real win for anyone wanting to stay here."
"The rooms were very neat and clean. The bathroom had lots of towels and maintained pretty well. The shower was roomy enough and had lots of hot water. The exterior showed some age but not poorly maintained. Lots of parking and was able to park conveniently in front of our unit. 10% discount at the Whitespot. Decent restaurant. "
