"Home is beautifully prepared for guests. Judith is skilled with practical esthetics making for a peaceful stay with everything you need artfully arranged. It’s a wonderful vibe to base a vacation from. She was very helpful with our daily plans, including local directions and travel times to arrive on time for early morning outings. Nice snacks provided on arrival and kitchen has everything you need. We had some technical challenges during our stay but Judith did everything she could about them, such is life. It feels like a lovely friend had prepared their home for a stay."

"View was spectacular. Food at resort was primo as well. Beach is "open from 10-6" meaning if you want service, towel, or chair its 10-6. You can still take an early morning dip. Valet was chill, staff was chill. View again was great. Rainbow cafe is two/three doors down. Cool spot, but they party over there until midnight on the weekends. It is loud when they are partying and the bass shakes the whole block. Be aware of that. If you want to have dinner at the restaurant it closes at 8, if you show up at 645pm you will get turned away. So, maybe you need to be there by 630 for dinner. Blackout garage blinds were really cool, and made us feel safer. I think it would be cool if they installed deadbolts on the doors or a latch lock. But honestly the area feels safe enough you won't really worry."

"Julia was a great host and very responsive in all our communications. The views are incredible with a great outdoor space where we spent most of our time. It is a short walk to the beach or less than two minute drive. Short trip to grocery store, or Marigot or even to Grand Case."

"We really wanted to leave a good review of Villa du Kapress because the staff were so lovely and overall the villa is really nice, we also had one of our best meals here while we were on St.Maarten. The Villa was also nicely located so we’re weren’t right in the craziness, but a short drive away. But, there were somethings that took away from our experience. We weren’t given any towels in our room for the stay, and the bedding in the rooms was a bit stained. It did feel a bit untidy around the Villa in common spaces too. On our last night there, the Villa hosted a wedding. We were not informed of this and there was loud music from the Wedding until 2 AM. It would have been nice to be informed. And lastly, I did get food poisoning from our breakfast on the last morning. It was the only place my boyfriend and I ate slightly differently, and I was the only one who got sick. Again, we wanted to give this place a good reviews, because it does feel like a paradise when you look around, but there were a few pieces that really took away from our stay. "

"Large comfortable accommodations. Worked great for 2 couples. The decor is dated but everything works. Kitchen is well equipped with lots of space to work. Large balconies on the front and back of the unit.The host Margaret was easy to work and communicate with. Straight forward check in and check out process."

"The one lady who checked in was really nice but the other manager/owner? Was the rudest, most angry, unprofessional person I've ever seen in the hospitality industry. We honestly were made very uncomfortable and booked another hotel around the corner. While the villa is nice it's really a gilded mansion with very minimal if not gauche interior design, just an afterthought. Felt very soulless. "

"I loved relaxed morning coffee on the patio lounger while the little birds flitted about and the local red junglefowl greeted the new day. An easy walk down to Friar's - a fantastic swimming beach with wonderful little restaurants (NB: they close as early as 3:30 pm!!) The apartment is very well-appointed and provisioned. I especially appreciated the dishwasher and washing machine!! Bed was sooo comfortable. Nice to have a sofa and chairs to relax on after a busy day hiking, swimming, touring about.Check in and out was a breeze. We'd stay here again :) "
