The Albe Hôtel Saint-Michel is a perfect location for a wonderful boutique type hotel. It us located an easy 10 minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral and located off busy traffic streets. There are several restaurants in the immediate area. The hotel's breakfast room has a very attentive and friendly staff. The assortment of hot and cold food and quality was great. It offers a nicely balanced selection of freshly prepared hot and cold foods - dried cereals, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, lunchen meats/ cheeses muffins, breads, juices etc. A selection of hot tea was available as well as a self-serve coffee machine offering several choices of fresh coffee. My favorite was the decaff cappuccino. Regular was also available. You simply press the button of your choice, and within a few seconds you have a fresh hot cup of coffee.
Our room overlooked the street we walked to the cathedral and did have very active pedestrian activety during the day. However, the window in our room was totally effective in blocking out sound. We were out of the room most of the day sightseeing anyway. Our room was cleaned very nicely and efficiently every day. Our twin beds were very comfortable and the bed linens were very cozy. The bathroom was very nice and included electric towel warmers which also helped dry simple hand laundry. I would highly recommend this hotel. Wonderful, friendly staff also.
