"Absolutely loved the quirkiness of staying on a houseboat. It’s modern and well maintained, in a fantastic position on the marina which catches the evening sun. Well equipped too. We stayed Monday to Thursday in June and there were barely any other people in the marina so it was very quiet. Location is perfect for exploring the island in any direction,"

"Amazing accommodation, ideal location as close to the beach, restaurant, park, sports courts for the children to kick a football around. We have a 3 and 5 year old and it was perfect for them. Property was spotless and Sharon had thought of all the little things to make it easy to stay like milk in the fridge, washing upLiquid, tea towel. There was even a range of DVDs which came in useful as we visited during a heat wave. Shower was also really good, hot and powerful. We loved it!"

"Myself and my son were here for the isle of wight takeover. For the short time we spent at the caravan all was good. There were a few issues with the caravan but nothing major. A hole in the decking just outside the door and the radiator in the single bedroom not working. The little welcome pack you get is brilliant, the caravan was tidy and clean and the communction was good. Check in is nice and easy with a key box. Would definitely use again for future stays."

"Entertaining stay! The hotel itself is really nice, it's very clean and tidy throughout, which is so important to me personally. My room was roomy and had all that I required for a one night stay, even longer would have been fine also. the bathroom while a mixture of modern and old fashioned, again was fine for my stay, it had a lovely walking show fitted with a rain head, which was all very nice, toilet & sink though were a horrid pink, bit functional, although the cold tap had to be turned in the wrong directionion to make it work, which is like to see replaced with a new set, so they worked as expected. Breakfast was excellent, the quality of the produce used was excellent and this alone would make me return for another stopover, which I shall. My only criticism is that the fire alarm went off just after midnight, which turned into a right nightmare, as there was noone on site form the hotel itself, so 4 of us were left to try and resolve the problem, which resulted in the fire brigade having to attend and reassure us that we could rest easy for the rest of the night, what a bloody pain that was in the early hours. "

Newport Quay Bed and Breakfast

"A good roof over your head with a lovely breakfast provides a great foundation for the perfect holiday. And for this reason I have to give Ethel high praise for looking after me, my wife and daughter, during our four-day stay at the Newport Quay B&B Hotel. The comfortable king size and single bed in our bedroom suited us well, including the en-suite bathroom - all clean and ship shape. Breakfast in this 17th century Grade II listed building was served before 9am and included cereal, a fruit juice, toast with jam and marmalade, tea, coffee, croissant, a yoghurt and fruit. Ethel gave us plenty advice on where to go and what to see. Because we purchased a tourist parking permit, we were able to park outside the hotel. The online permit also allowed us to park at council-run car parks by the beach and in our favourite spot, the picturesque Shanklin Old Village. There are council offices in the next street from the hotel, but don’t park there as the spaces are for staff only. Our room was on the first floor which wasn’t a bind, but if you are disabled, perhaps call them first. Being in the centre it was good for getting treats and we were just one street away from a lovely Italian restaurant. The oldest pub on the island was also a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Unlike other places which don’t allow three adults in one room it was good value for money. Although we were only there for a short while, it was sad to say goodbye. This place definitely ticked all the boxes. "

The Chapel

"The property was beautiful and basically in the middle of the woods so dead easy for dog walking - also and outside hose which was really handy considering how muddy it was! It was freezing when we arrived but the heating, once I figured it out was effective. Unfortunately there were no logs or kindling for the fire which would have been beautiful. Also, the cues for the pool table were broken but we managed to partially fix one and had a few games with a beer or two - an added bonus! These are the only gripes - the rooms are large and clean, the kitchen has everything you need and more - the Chapel itself and it's situation is beautiful, and with a car you're within easy acces to everything. The doors to the garden are a bonus - we will return! "
