"Room was spotless very impressed had extras we did not expect. Staff extremely helpful. Had a slight hiccup with a family festival meal order but that was sorted out with efficiency and speed. Would definitely come back for our next trip to family "

"Very warm welcome & offered mulled wine. Which was much appreciated on cold windy day. Our double room was a pleasant surprise, king bed which was super comfortable & quality bedding, the shower was amazing along with the luxurious toiletries . Breakfast……FAB U LOUS. So much choice, made to order. What more could you ask for. "

"Room very warm & cosy, lovely underfloor heating in the bathroom. Not really a wardrobe but a small cupboard with hanging space!! Fab food, great breakfast but you can’t have a latte coffee at breakfast!! Also breakfast finishes at 9.45am even at the weekend! Lovely dining room and great bar. Definitely good value and lovely location. Xx"

"A perfect stay! Amazing comfy, cosy and massive bed which gave a perfect night sleep ahead of us climbing Scafell Pike which was really easy to get to. Super clean, loved the modern touches but also the traditional parts which remained from the barn. Breakfast was amazing and loved that it catered to vegetarian and non-dairy options without having to ask for this. We loved watching the alpacas from our bedroom. The freshly made cakes each day were such a treat and tasted beautiful. Only 10 mins...

"We stayed in the family room which was excellent. All of the staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast had a good choice and high quality ingredients and products. And the afternoon scones and jam were delicious! Highly recommended and we’d definitely stay again."
