The cabin is approximately one mile from paved road. The majority of the gravel access road is a township road that can be rugged. We recommend a vehicle with medium to high ground clearance. During the winter of the area experiences ice or heavy snowfall, the road maybe difficult to keep cleared and not well suited for 2wd vehicles. As a result during the winter months we recommend the guest have 4wd or AWD.

Quick update the township road was just redone with new gravel. It’s super nice! Pictures of it are posted. Thank you!

Anniversary getaway

We had the best time at this cabin! It had a beautiful view of the river. We enjoyed coffee in the hot tub in the morning. It was very clean and secluded. We have recommended this to a bunch of friends and plan to make a trip back!

The cabin was very clean and also the hot tub was great. We stayed downstairs only because there was only two of us. It is a very old cabin, so it will have imperfections. I would stay there again. Everything you needed was there. Thank you for the great stay.

Wonderful Weekend!

Amazing views from hot tub, large deck, and covered porch. Rustic log cabin renovated with modern amenities. Beautiful baths & kitchen — a wonderful well-appointed kitchen. Wonderful hosts who care about your comfort. Highest praise I can give is that we cannot wait to return.

Great views

It was very spacious and a cozy cabin with great views. The only negative I can say is the road to it was not the greatest. Definitely would want an all wheel drive vehicle. But the views once u get to the cabin were spectacular! Also it was very clean and smelled great!

Amazing view of the Ohio River.

The view from the property is breathtaking. Pictures don't do it justice. My wife and I stay in many cabins throughout the year and I can say we've never had a host that was more accomodating. The cabin itself, gives that feeling of home, which is pretty rare in my experience. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone.

Very relaxing

We enjoyed the hot tub and the propane fire pit. Sitting on the deck having lunch overlooking the Ohio river. Lovely accommodations and comfortable furniture. We had 3 deer stroll near the cabin on our final day. You do need a high clearance vehicle or truck to navigate the road up to the cabin. The view is spectacular.

Secluded cozy cabin!

This cozy cabin is much better than the pictures show! It's really secluded-we saw a bald eagle, hawks, deer and other wild life. We ate all our meals on the covered porch watching barges and other boats on the river below. Chris recommended a boat launch, places and restaurants on the river to boat to. He is an excellent host who thinks of details for guests comfort and enjoyment. We would go back!

This cabin was a great weekend getaway. The cabin itself is very comfortable and the views are spectacular. Christopher is the best host we have had the pleasure of working with. He had the cabin stocked with everything you could want. Would rent from Christopher, at this cabin or anywhere else, again.
