This was a nice property at a good price, and worked well for my family of 6 (including 3 teens and a 10-year-old). For our family size, we usually avoid hotels and resorts and prefer homes, and this met our needs. A few thoughts:
- Host were very communicative. I had 3 or 4 questions during the stay and received responses within minutes.
- The property is a fenced-in square with tall/thick trees all around for privacy. There are no close neighbors so it feels like you have space and privacy. There is a farm on one side and a cow pasture behind you, which we loved.
-The outdoor living space is mostly covered from sun or rain, and the pool was well maintained. We spent a lot of time in the pool.
-Wifi was great for 6 people using at same time.
-Kitchen is ok for basic stuff like easy breakfasts and sandwiches for lunch, but a bit limited if cooking anything extensive.
-There is AC in both bedrooms, but not living room/kitchen/bathroom. So sleeping is comfortable, but living area less so. We opened bedroom doors and that helped a bit. Also, we spent most time by pool.
-Only one bathroom. We made it work for 6 people, but just fyi.
-We had excursions in La Fortuna every day, so we were not at the house too often. But when we were, this was a great place to unwind with privacy and our private pool. I'd say it's perfect for 4 people, a little tight but still nice for 6, and while it can sleep 8, I don't think I would do that. But given all of the above, I definitely recommend!
