Beach access is across the street and roughly 100m away. The beach itself is also quiet - a HUGE contrast to the tourist swarmed Tamarindo. Close to a great scuba dive center, restauarsnts, sodas, markets, and other amenities. "

"Our family stayed at this house for two weeks and loved everything about it. The space was exactly what we needed, the proximity to Penca beach was perfect and getting to know Melissa and Richard was so special. This is truly a wonderful house and host. We will certainly be back! "

"This home was a wonderful place for our week stay in Potrero. The house is through a locked gate and up a steep driveway. The house was clean and had almost everything we needed (except seasonings). The housekeeper came in every day to clean, and she made beds and did laundry. The bedding was changed out halfway through our stay. The bedrooms were comfortable with air conditioning. The rest of the house did get a little stuffy with the 95 degree temperatures since there is no air conditioning in the other rooms. Caretaker Ernesto cleaned the grounds and pool everyday. The pool was warm and so nice to be able to enjoy in the hot weather. Property manager Jorge was very helpful providing directions and instructions for the property and was always quick to reply to any questions we had. Owner Mindy was also very quick to respond to questions as well as providing information on places to go and things to do. Be aware that if the outside house doors are shut you will need to use the key to open them from the outside.If you are looking for a nice place for a massage in the area, I would highly recommend Veronica's Massage in Playa Potrero. We ate at Las Brisas a couple of times. It was a comfortable place on the beach. The Beach House Bar and Restaurant was also a favorite. I would also recommend visiting Diamante animal sanctuary. It was very clean and well kept with a lot of animals that seemed to be taken care of very well.We would definitely stay at this house again!"

"Great pool, nice spot. Small things like no dish-wash soap or dish-sponge etc (when only there for a few days and asked to keep all kitchen items clean etc). Asked for extra towels for pool which were provided & were great. 10min walk to beach / bakery / cafe / sodas. 2 min walk to grocery store. On a busy road. "

"Second time renting this property. This house has the most breathtaking views . Location is ideal. Beaches are beautiful with a few favorites near by like plays prieta, playa penca and Playa Danta . The town is also not far . I will stay here anytime visiting g this area. Thank you for allowing our dogs to visit with us which is utmost important for us. Thank you! "

"My husband and I spent one week at Villa Potrero with 8 close friends. We had an amazing time. The house and property are beautiful and within walking distance of several good restaurants and a market for groceries and other necessities. The staff including the concierge, house keepers and house maintenance workers were kind, helpful and accommodating. Arturo and Catalina assisted us skillfully while preparing for the trip by arranging chef service and massages while there as well as answering all of our questions in a timely manner. Martin and Benito kept the grounds looking amazing and were kind enough to set us up on the beach with umbrellas and chairs multiple days during our stay. Judy was a housekeeper who checked in with us to find out how frequently we would like her to come by to clean. She came with another housekeeper every couple of days to clean and freshen up the house. Lastly, our in house chef was Kattya. The experience was so amazing that we asked her and her team to come back on our last night in the house. They even delivered cocktails and appetizers to the pool in the afternoon while preparing a delicious meal. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. "
