Not very helpful

Arrived about 4.30, had not noticed when booking that there was no car parking, nor was there any available outside. We tried to gain admittance to ask for advice on where to park but noonecwas around despite the fact that the website claims that the desk is open all day 7.30am to 11.00pm. We finally gave up and stayed elsewhere.

Excellent location

Fantastic location for the lakes and excellent transport links by train and car. Breakfast was good and it was personalised. The room was clean and comfortable. We only stayed two nights but enjoyed our stay. The bed was a bit firm for my comfort.

Rude, Unfriendly, and Unaccommodating

Booked triple rooms, for a reason ... was told on arrival that the rooms we had booked been given to someone else, and only a double was available, and that nothing could be done about it. On trying to enter a discussion to resolve the situation was told by the rude gentleman (who i presume was the owner) that he did not have time to stand and argue ...i was not arguing, merely trying to discuss any potential options, and asked him to refund half of the price of one of the rooms but he was not interested in the slightest !!! Avoid ... perhaps unless it's the very last option in the town ! for us it actually was, and we had children with us and not enough beds ... but i still wished i'd avoided On the plus side I did eventually receive half of the price of one of the rooms back but had to do so via hotels.com (who incidentally could not get hold of the manager to speak to him!)
