"I was very disappointed, as I booked a room in the black boy hotel, but was given a room in an outside Annexe quite a way from the hotel. Also we had to climb 3 flights of stairs with our luggage and no help. On specking with the receptionist I was informed the problem is with Expedia as they will not allow the hotel to describe the rooms correctly."

"Staff were very friendly and helpful, both at breakfast and dinner. Room was very clean and comfortable. It was very windy whilst we were there and due to the age of the property the bathroom window, which didn’t fit very well let a lot of cold air in. Bed and pillows very comfortable."

"The hotel is fairly basic, the rooms look a bit dated, there was a crack in my bath surround and some staining on the ceiling, but I believe the rooms are due for refurbishment shortly, so this is likely to improve. The parking is just over the road, and is free for as long as you're staying (you can come and go without registering again apparently). The hotel as a whole was clean and tidy. The food was good but a bit pricey in my opinion, but it is a touristy area, so base your expectations on that. The real stand-out was the staff, they are welcoming and clearly enjoy their jobs, and are a perfect example of Welsh hospitality. This is a good hotel as a base to explore Eryri"
