Situated in a sunny and tranquil hillside location, with breathtaking lake views to serve as the perfect backdrop, this fabulous holiday home offers the perfect year-round retreat!

The modern holiday apartment is located on the first floor in an exclusive gated residence and provides guests with a chic retreat in which to relax and enjoy the delights of Lake Como and the surrounding area.

A spacious open plan living and dining room provides a relaxed ambience ideal for a holiday stay, with a modernist-style sitting area equipped with a flat screen TV and complemented by a spacious fully-fitted kitchen diner, ideal for home-cooking. A lake view private terrace furnished with outdoor dining furniture is also on hand to provide the perfect excuse for long unhurried dinner parties.

Guests can also enjoy the ultimate alfresco dining experience, with the communal BBQ and picnic area which is situated in the residence, offering a tranquil sunny spot in which to enjoy relaxed summertime lunches.

The beautifully presented accommodation comprises 2 spacious double bedrooms, making it ideal for a pair of couples or small groups of 4 travelling together. A modern fitted en-suite shower room can be enjoyed in the master bedroom and a family-fitted bathroom with a walk-in power shower also features to the bright and modern duplex apartment.

A private garage in the gated complex is provided for guest’s use and for those looking for the perfect way to relax the shared outdoor swimming pool offers the ideal venue to soak up the sun and embrace your lake escape!

The charming hillside idyll of Perledo offers a range of local amenities and restaurants to enjoy as well as offering easy access by car to the Jungle Raider Park, the Piani di Bobbio Ski resort and also the picturesque lakeside towns and villages of the eastern shore. Nearby Bellano offers a wealth of modern day amenities including a frequent train service to Milan via Lecco and for those wishing to sightsee, the romantic lakeside resort town of Varenna is also within enviable reach by car.

The pretty resort town of Varenna provides a timeless appeal with its cobbled streets, cafe-lined lakefront and historical pastel townhouses, which nestle alongside the famous Villa Monastero attraction. The medieval Castello di Vezio can also be reached from the town and its elevated lake view location provides the perfect picnic spot.

For guests looking to enjoy a lake swim the nearby sandy beach in Lierna offers the perfect opportunity to do so and the central lake also boasts a wide selection of modernised family-friendly Lidos to enjoy. As dusk approaches these Lidos also offer the perfect romantic venue for evening aperitifs and chic cocktails in the summertime.

Varenna is just a ferry ride away from the other famous resort towns of Bellagio and Menaggio as well as the restaurant-lined Tremezzina shore. Guests staying on the central lake are spoilt for choice when it comes to activities; with golf, tennis, water sports, sailing and boat rental to enjoy alongside hiking, cycling, extreme sports and Spa days! The funny thing about the perfect oasis is forgetting the challenge in getting there. Despite narrow roads in a too big rental, the journey was well worth the challenge! If you can get away with a smaller car, do it; although there is parking, it was a tight fit that the wonderful Diego helped us navigate.Once you’re there, it’s all worth it! The views from the terrace are burned into memory, as is watching a spectacular lightning display from the safety of our bedroom window.Communication with Diego was outstanding; our travel mates had to work, making WiFi essential. When we had problems with the WiFi, Diego contacted the provider and fixed it in time for their meetings.Cleanliness: The floor was so clean, we could have eaten off it! They had dryer racks for clothes, as well as iron, ironing board and cleaning supplies. The only shortcoming was paper products, which we picked up in town.Transportation: We saw people waiting (and waiting) for the bus. Given the distance from town, I’d recommend a car. There was a great walking trail (which we found by mistake and is not shown on Google Maps) down to the little town.Surrounding area: Best to get groceries in Bellano before driving up. There are a couple “local” places to eat, but we found the terrace too tempting to leave and ate in for most of our meals.Can’t wait to retern

Great property with spectacular views (even when the clouds and fog made it look like a spooky fairytale land) and the surrounding areas were lots of fun. The one suggestion; be to be more clear about the 4 klick. switch back drive from town. If you arrive by train, you'll have to hire a car because it's not practicably walkable.

Superbe vue, accès difficile

N'avons pas eu les consignes pour la réception des clés . Il faudrait préciser que l'accès est très difficile, il y a 80 marches à monter puis 16 marches à descendre pour accéder à la porte . Pas recommandé pour les cardiaques et handicapés , les couettes et laes casseroles n'étaient pas propres

Une vue exceptionnelle !

Un grand appartement/maison dans une copropriété. Très bien équipé et surtout avec une terrasse et des chambres qui donnent sur une vue du lac à tomber par terre !Pour un long wk cela fonctionne très bien, la literie est confortable, 2 salles de bain, bien équipé. Pour une semaine complète les 20 min de route pour descendre à Varenna, le coût du parking pour y laisser sa voiture ensuite serait clairement un handicap...La procédure d'arrivée est un peu compliquée, il ne faut pas rater les parkings où se trouve la clé, alors que si on rentre l'adresse dans le GPS on nous amène à l'entrée principale 2 virages au-dessus où il y a aussi une boite à clé. Donc pas mal d'incompréhension et d'inquiétude en arrivant de nuit.Sans climatisation il doit faire très, très chaud dans ce logement l'été. Là impossible pour nous d'éteindre le chauffage.Pas de wifi ou seulement en payant (en 2025 c'est assez hallucinant), et très peu de réseau là-haut. Pas adapté pour des gens à mobilité réduite, ni aux enfants en bas âge et le parking est complexe à manoeuvrer avec une grosse voiture.

Views sell this place and it’s spacious

View is amazing. Loved being able to make dinner and enjoy the place. Good hot water and pressure. Beautiful place to stay. Will book again in the future if I come back to this area. Loved our time here. Was disappointed in a few things, the only complaint I’d liked changed before returning is the excessive fragrance used on the fabrics and linen. It was very over powering to sleep in and one of us got a rash due to sensitive skin. Other improvements like some small maintenance issues need done but doesn’t hurt the experience of a short stay. Not their faultt… information about parking is posted everywhere and is stated explicitly so they can’t do much more to fix this, but if someone decides to not read and is staying in another apt at location then you get to experience what we did. Someone had parked over night and was still in the area to load and unload the luggage when it was time for us to leave the next morning. (There is assigned parking garages. )This made us walk down many steps to the car with heavy luggage. Other than that would come again.

Beautiful view

We had a great few days here. The Wi-Fi is very good. The property is lovely. The bannister was broken and also one of the fans. The upstairs shower was amazing.

The View is Worth It

Let me start by saying the view was the reason for booking this property, and it did not disappoint. Amazing panorama of Lake Como that we thoroughly enjoyed. Having said that there are a couple of process and stocking changes that could be made to greatly enhance the quality of a guest's stay. 1. The first is the check-in. The owner has gone to admirable lengths to document the arrival process with an 8-page primer and it still wasn't enough for the four seasoned travelers in our party. The unit key is kept in a different location than the unit itself and it took quite a bit of sleuthing before we finally figured out where. Our recommendation is to co-locate the lockbox near the front door to facilitate check-in. 2. Second is stocking the kitchen. The location of the property is up a very narrow, challenging set of switchbacks from the town. So popping down to the store to grab supplies is a thing. Almost all VRBO locations we've stayed at had the basic condiments in the kitchen, and typically coffee as well. This unit had none, not even salt and pepper, which made the first night's meal interesting. Not mandatory, of course, but as a long-time VRBOer something we had come to expect. Recommendation is either to stock the basics or explicitly call out that you haven't. The rest of our peccadilloes were minor. No AC is typically not a problem in Italy this time of year but of course not this time. And our criteria of two rooms and two bathrooms was met, but one of them bathrooms was on a different floor than the bedrooms. So nothing that would prevent us from coming again, just nice to know stuff that will hopefully enhance your experience.

Highlight: Spectacular View (but keep reading)

This property is in great condition and offers an amazing, truly panoramic, view of Lake Como. That said, there are several reasons why we would not rent it again: 1. The property provides little to no information to orient the visitor to the area. I called to ask and had a prompt and polite reply, offering restaurant recommendations all through the wider region. However, there were no instructions specific to the property itself. 2. Take note: the location is 1000 ft above the lake, with a very steep walk to any restaurant/bar. We had been hiking in the Dolomites and were looking forward to a respite. But it was truly work to get anywhere. 3. There is no air conditioning. This was a problem especially because the late afternoon sun bakes the beautiful terrace, which means it’s important to keep the house closed up until close to sunset in the midst of summer heat. We did find two walkable (with a sweat) restaurants: one above the property and one below (about 20 minutes each way). They were acceptable but not spectacular. I will say this is the first negative-ish review I’ve ever given on VRBO properties. It’s the first time that I feel as if our choice of property adversely affected our experience of the area. Even if your aim is to go and stay put, I’d avoid this option in the midst of summer. I write this simply to round out the glowing reviews that led me to choose it in the first place.
