"We loved our stay in the Abbott room, got to meet Dan our host who was lovely and gave us a tour of the property. Great place to stay and close to the downtown area, highly recommend!! "
"The location was great to walk to almost everything. Was able to take a trolley to the park for a tour which we would highly recommend. The room was very clean. Shower was great lots of pressure. The gifts that were left in the place was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend for anyone we know coming to Maine - bar harbor. "
"Located 7 miles outside village of Bar Harbor. Comfortable 2 bedroom cottage. Road out front was pretty noisy, but we still got a good night’s sleep."

Farmhouse 2025: 3 night min May-Labor Day
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely property. It was so fantastic and so lovely to come back to after great hiking! Our house couldn’t have been more gracious with her communication, directions, and suggestions!"
"An MDI GemWe are so glad we found this charming MDI cottage. The location, in a quiet Seal Harbor neighborhood, with great mountain views from the front porch, was the ideal home base for our hiking/biking vacation. It's a quick, easy and safe bike ride to the carriage road gatehouse near Jordan Pond House. It's a short, pleasant drive to the Park Loop Road, Bar Harbor, and the quiet side of Acadia. The house was in immaculate condition when we arrived. It is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, and outfitted with guests in mind. The beds and furniture are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked (we cook). The yard and garden are lovely. Communication with Bruce was a pleasure. Kudos for the most comprehensive information book that we have found in any of our VRBO rentals. We would happily stay here again on our next MDI vacation.Pam & Bob G.Boston, MA"
Secluded Sunset Point mountain top cabin, wifi, Dish TV, firepit
8/10 Good
"Very small. Hardly room for luggage in rooms. Better for just a couple. Not super clean. Needs a thorough cleaning. And sprayed for insects. Description of outdoor firepit was not accurate. Could not sit around it. It was just an ok spot. It was close to Bar Harbor, which was convenient. "
"This home was perfect for our stay with our three grown children and a couple of their spouses. The house was well equipped in the kitchen which made it easy to make some meals at home. We loved the location which made it easy to access the carriage roads for biking. We also hiked to the trail around Jordan Pond from the house. Several of us walked multiple times a few blocks to Seal Beach to hang out. It was about 20 mins. to Bar Harbor and stores there. Our kids enjoyed swimming in Echo Lake which was about a 15 min. drive. Edith, the host, responded quickly with any question or request for advice about restaurants or activities. Our family loved the back deck and spent time sitting outside. The dining room table was large enough to accommodate the 7 of us for meals and games. Everyone agreed that this home was perfect for our needs for the week. We highly recommend this home and location."
