"Stayed here for 2 nights on the way up to the Isle of Harris for a week. Fantastic setting, right next to the river Tay, and our room, the Atholl Suite, was amazing. The staff were fantastic, all very friendly and helpful, but also very professional. From check in to the restaurant staff at breakfast and the lady who came to service the room - all brilliant. Management - if you read this, please make sure you give your staff a big collective pat on the back for the Jon they do - the staff are the heartbeat of a hotel. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Our only small niggle was the paint fumes in the room when we arrived as the decorators were painting the outside woodwork. That said, we opened the windows for a few hours and it cleared. Understandable I suppose, that they needed to make the most of some fine weather to get it done. "

"We booked this as a last minute stay to entertain the kids during the easter holidays on a limited budget and it far surpassed our expectations! 😀 amazing value for money. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was bright and clean. Lovely big comfy beds. Plenty of tea, coffee and water. It's in a pretty little village location a short drive to the Scottish deer centre, which we enjoyed. We used the swimming pool twice. The gym is well equipped. We didn't try the bar/bistro but the cake cabinet looked delicious. Breakfast was cooked, a surprise as it said continental on hotels.com. this was tasty. If i was being picky a few more cereals would have been nice. For the amount we paid however we really can't complain. I would say don't let the negative reviews let you put off a booking. We loved our stay!"

"The room was clean and nicely set up. Temperature was fine for early spring. Walking distance to restaurants down on the water area; but, the restaurant in the hotel was lovely. Great staff and tasty meal. The bed and pillow were VERY firm, if you like that, it's great."

"Excellent hotel and very close to centre and shops staff so helpful and friendly and excellent choice of breakfast the only downside was lift to floors especially if you are disabled but very helpful staff try to accommodate "

"A lovely hotel very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we had for a family of 4 had 2 double beds and that was perfect and there was still enough room to movie about. Would defiantly recommend. Breakfast was amazing which was included in our stay. "

"The hotel is very clean, this was our second time here. Staff are all lovely. The spa was amazing, a relaxing massage on a Saturday morning probably wasn’t our best idea as we were far too relaxed to do anything else haha. We arrived on the Friday and there was a uni ball on so lots of young people it was very noisy as they all had to show id. However it was funny people watching. Who knew mullets and moustaches were back. The function was for around 300 so had door staff in attendance. No trouble that we seen just a young boy enjoying himself got a little drunk but was in good form. The door staff put him out a few times. I felt sorry for him so made sure he was ok. (The mothering side came out haha) We booked a table for dinner and went for the sharing tomahawk steak night. We were really looking forward to this. Looked amazing but unfortunately there wasn’t any flavour to it at all. We were a bit disappointed, however I said to the waiter that it lacked flavour of any sort, even the sauces were disappointing. The waiter was very nice and professional. I didn’t complain to get anything off our bill it was more to let them know. I’m not one for complaining but it put us off eating in there on the Saturday.we went across the road to the Indian buffet place which I highly recommend we had to be rolled to our room we had far too much. The waiter spoke to the restaurant manger and they deducted a small amount from the bill which was very nice of them. We will be back"
