"The room itself was ok i guess but not set up very well, the tv was mounted in a pisition that makes it awkward to view from the main bed which doubles as the couch/searing i guess, no small milk like most motels offer at check in, also found it a bit strange to see there was cutlery and plates and cooking utensils etc however nothing to actually cook on , si if you require anyrhing beyond a jug and toaster then youl need to bring it with you or buy it while your there, ps theres coffee and tea but youl need to get your own milk and collect your key from another motel further down the road. I guess if a dry warm room is all you need for a night then its good value i suppose"

"We had room 825 which was upstairs with a spa bath. Lovely views of the beach and plenty of room. Only complaint would be the towels were looking a bit old and Grey with some stains. Definitely need to be upgraded. Otherwise would definitely recommend. We stayed here for an event in Wellington, easy access to trains or busses into town"

"No staff onsite. Phone to access key from key lock up. Room not up to scratch. Room with TV in lounge, but no lounge to sit on. Bed in loft above. Aging amenities and room"

"Ther first room had an overwhelming bleach smell and the shower door was not clean, I could not sleep there! I asked for another room, it wa so little better, the bed was comfortable but I checked out early to book elsewhere."

"Good location, quiet and well equipped. Bathroom was snug with heated towel rack and underfloor heating.As other guests have reported there is a musty smell that seems to linger. It’s difficult to allow fresh air to circulate with the design of the windows."

"The property is clean but needs lots more TLC. The bathroom looks quite new and the kitchen was in good condition also. Having a hot plate and cooking equipment was nice but would have liked a table and chairs to sit at to eat. The front door was old, draughty and generally very flimsy and not secure. There is no noise insultion, so you can hear your neighbours quite clearly. Its one of 3 motels on the road and you have to collect keys at a different location. Not a place I would recommend."
