THE CACTUS HOUSE

Our larger-than-life Cactus property is quite the impressive remodel. The spacious corner lot provides plenty of room in both the front and back of the home, and the extra lower level allows for comfortable accommodations for even the largest of groups. The expansive backyard features an attached pool and spa with a waterfall, large outdoor TV with Bluetooth speakers, gazebo with shower and bathroom, an a 8 burner gas grill with side burners, pizza oven and stand alone griddle. A large outdoor dining table accommodates 10+ guests with adjacent patio heaters. There are also 3 fire pits, ping pong table, corn hole set, several outdoor patio chairs, sofas and chaise lounges, along with a putting green for golf enthusiasts! Pool chiller available in summer months.

7 of the 8 bedrooms can be configured as either 1 king bed or 2 twin beds, 1 bedroom has a queen bed.

THE SPACE

The entrance to our home has polished marble floors that line most of the home's interior. Everything has been professionally decorated, and this is prominently displayed in the remodeled kitchen, which comes with granite counter tops, a wine rack and cooler, vaulted ceilings, built-in electric glass stove tops. The Kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses and cooking appliances and utensils that should satisfy any master chef.

The main living area presents panoramic windows overlooking the backyard. The lower level showcases expansive seating, 85 inch TV, and bar area. A full bathroom and two bedrooms are on the lower level, as well. Back upstairs in the living room is a large flat screen TV, wood fireplace, and plenty of seating. The luxurious master suite features a bathroom with large open shower, jetted Jacuzzi tub and overhead flat screen TV and exercise bike. Garage has been converted to game room with foosball, pool table, air hockey, PS3 game console as well as golf simulator and 50 inch TV. For movie fans there is an extensive movie library on hard drives in the theater room, living room and outdoor TVs. Large flat screen TVs in all rooms with internet connected ROKU. DIRECTV in all rooms. High speed internet Wi-Fi throughout the home. With eight bedrooms and six bathrooms, this property can easily host 18 people. The home is child friendly with high chairs, cribs and pool fencing is available upon request for a small fee. Pets welcome, please contact host. The great location close to major freeways, golf courses, and shopping centers makes this immaculate home even more desirable.

Nice house, nice neighborhood

Nice big house in nice neighborhood, great for our family group. The kids and adults loved the pool, hot tub, games, and other amenities. Owners and local manager were very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful property, well equipped and with extra amenities. Great areas to spread out or gather! We rented for our annual Team Training to allow remote workers form several states to gather, learn, eat, share and collaborate. LOVED IT!

Misters men’s trip

Awesome for golf groups!

12 of us stayed here for a golf trip. Everyone was super happy with the house! The hosts thought of everything. The only thing to make it better would be having a massage chair. We will definitely be booking again!

Great house for large groups

This is a great house for large groups. It has it all -- indoor, and outdoor amenities and location. We were a golf group, and this house was very convenient to our courses (We-Ko-Pa, Boulders, Gray Hawk and Quintero) and restaurants. This house is high quality. Many rental homes that cater to large groups show the wear and tear, but this house is in immaculate shape. All bedrooms are nice. Plenty of indoor gathering areas. Outdoor areas are amazing. Swimming pool is great (mid-June water temp was fantastic). Probably the best VRBO large house we have ever had on our annual golf trips.

Perfect oasis

From beginning to end, Doug and Kelli were easy to communicate with. Paul was available in case we needed anything and was very easy to communicate with, also. The house was set up perfectly for our group of 14. (7 couples). Kelli and Doug have thought of, and provided, everything you might need. We spent most of our time outside. What a great setup. There was plenty of seating for us around the fire pits, with propane heaters to help us stay warm in the evenings. We look forward to our next family get together at Cactus House!

Best vacation rental EVER!

Our family has been returning to Arizona each summer for the last several years to spend a week together and reunite our large immediate family (16 between adult children and 10 grandchildren) who live across the U.S. We have staying in many homes but none compare to this amazing property and the experience of renting from Doug and Kelli. The house is a dream for a large group or family. Our adult children enjoyed the spacious bedrooms and outdoor gathering areas for evening games and conversation. The pool was AMAZING! Large enough for the grandchildren to play while the parents floated on rafts to enjoy the sun. The garage game room was a hit with all and we hosted evening air hockey and pool tournaments for the family. The basement "entertainment" room hosted family movie nights on the giant TV, better than a movie theater! The property was so beautiful that our son actually proposed to his girlfriend while we were there...what a beautiful setting! Doug and Kelli were a joy to work with from the start and provided every request with such gracious hospitality. There was even wine left for us on arrival! The property caretaker (Paul) is awesome and became part of the family, responding instantly with any need we had on site. The pool chiller was a hit and we highly recommend it if you are renting in the summer months! There aren't enough stars available to give this home a great rating. Our family is dying to go back next year! Thank you, thank you to Doug, Kelli and Paul for making it a week out family will always treasure.

Amazing house w/ space and amenities for everyone!

Loved it! What a great vacation house for our spring break! Our group of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids ages 6-14) had an amazing time. The house itself is huge, clean and beautiful with everything you could ask for. But the backyard is where it's really a wow! Huge pool, hot tub, putting green, ping pong, bags, ladder golf... not to mention so many comfy chairs, huge outdoor eating space, fire tables, heat lamps, sound system and multiple grills to cook on. It was all just great! And the communication from the owners throughout the process was excellent. Even before booking, they went out of their way to answer our questions. You never know who you're renting from, but it's clear Doug & Kelli are trying to do this the right way. It's all very professional but also personal. Paul, the local caretaker who lives nearby, met us at check in. He was so nice, informative, and did everything he could to make sure we enjoyed our stay. First class guy. Having someone like that available when you have a question makes all the difference when staying in a home for the first time. He even came over one day and got my wife's wedding ring out of the pipes after it accidentally went down the bathroom sink drain. Location is in the middle of Scottsdale. It's not scenic, but it's a nice neighborhood and very convenient, less than 10 minutes to Kierland and close to the major arteries to get around. We went to Sloan Park for a Cubs game, hiked Camelback Mtn, and went shopping and dining all within a short drive. That being said, most of our days and all our nights were spent enjoying the backyard oasis. Would give it 5+ stars if we could. We've stayed in many vacation rentals over the years and this is at the top of the list, both for the house itself and the way Doug, Kelli and Paul manage it. We're already planning for a return trip next year.

One of the greatest experiences of my life

I had a fantastic trip with my friends at the Cactus Casa. The house is spectacular and everything we could have possibly needed and then some was available in the house. The amenities, the interior, and the bedrooms were amazing. I would love to return one day! Special shoutout to the caretaker Paul who did everything to ensure our stay went smoothly. Cheers!

90th Birthday Bash

We took our entire family to celebrate my mom's 90th Birthday including 8 great grandchildren 9 and under. From the beginning of booking our trip , arrival and during our stay the host and manager were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable . The accommodations were perfect for our family! The house is very clean and well-appointed along with a wonderful pool, game room , etc.... I highly recommend Cactus Casa.

Great multi-family option

We stayed at the Cactus Casa over the holidays and it was a great experience. Plenty of room for adults and kids to hang together and separately. The pool, game room, and hot tub were big hits. We had 8 adults and 10 kids ages 5-16 and everybody had space. The house was well stocked and it was easy to cook for a large group. Great location close to family we were visiting in Mesa and Tempe and children’s museum and aquarium in Phoenix. The caretaker was available although we never needed him. Kelli and Doug were easy to work with. Highly recommend and we hope to stay there again!

Perfect Long Weekend

Such an amazing and well appointed house. We had 6 couples stay to celebrate a 60th birthday for a long weekend. The place has everything you possibly need. The host and local property manager were excellent to work with and accommodated a couple of special requests. I would definitely stay here again.

Great golf vacation

We had 8 guys stay at the house for a golf trip and overall the house met all our needs. Lots of things to do and I was the perfect place for us to relax at the end of a day on the golf course. My only complaints are that there was some ongoing minor construction work in the back yard so things were a bit messy. There was some sort of water leak in the outdoor pool house bathroom as well and the pool heater seemed to get stuck on and the pool ended up being nearly 100 degrees. They were able to fix everything for us quite quickly though. Great communication with the hosts that helped things.

The rental house was better than the description! It's a perfect place for groups of friends or families to come together. The house is well stocked and there was plenty of entertainment for everyone. Everyone also commented on how comfortable the beds and pillows are!
