It was OK.

This place has great potential but needs some updating for the price that is being charged. Pros: the kitchen and bathrooms nice/clean. Great location. Cons: The beds were not the most comfortable. We were pretty disappointed with the backyard - we were really looking forward to swimming and relaxing in the backyard but didn’t end up doing that. In the photos the pool area looked beautiful but all of the furniture was pretty run down, there were no string lights or overhead cover as shown in the photo, and the pool was not the cleanest. After contacting the host about the pool vacuum not working (you could see that it cleaned half of the pool left the other half I cleaned), the host did send a pool service over but they just skimmed the top of the pool and didn’t scrub the bottom, leaving a layer of dirt still.

Not like the pictures at all!

Location was good but the price we pay for the cleaning was not good. We bought our own cleaning supplies for the bathrooms and kitchen. The drains had hair still in them and the dirt on the bottom of our socks will explain the floors. We didn’t think the pool area was safe enough to sit by with the lights so low to the water!

Absolute worst experience

First of all no heat on day one. Host argued with me that it was working while I was sitting there for hours at 58°, host told me he could send someone out but it would cost me. I contacted VRBO and they were absolutely no help at all. Ended up going to a hotel at 2:00 am because I couldn’t sleep at the property and I have to work at 5:00. Tried canceling the reservation with no success so I was more less forced to stay there or lose my money. Cheap cheap cheap everything! Two bathrooms and we were supplied with a half roll of tp to share between both, dining room table was equivalent to a kids card table and the chairs were so dirty I wouldn’t sit in them, very limited on kitchen utensils and what was there was so disgusting I refused to use. Shower drain was full of hair. Pool table was something you would find at Toys-R-Us and there were holes in the floor tiles all around the pool table. The entire house just felt dirty. Bedroom 1 the mattress had a dip in the middle so bad that you roll into it any time you move. Bedroom two the mattress seemed ok except you couldn’t get past the smell of urine. Bedroom three the mattress was so thin you are better off sleeping on the floor. No decent pillows so we had to buy our own. No instructions on how anything worked. After 4 days I finally got the WiFi password. Pool lighting electric wires were hanging in the water. Rotten food leftover in refrigerator, filthy microwave. This guy has no business hosting!!!!!!

The house is nice and spacious with a big kitchen and two full bathrooms, the outside yard is also big with a nice size swimming pool. You’re also very close to Scottsdale fashion square and old town Scottsdale plus highways close by. We enjoyed the property very much. 👍

Not What We Thought It Would Be

I should have gone with my gut feeling after no response from the host with the first message I sent. We had to buy towels, batteries for the remote, toilet paper and paper towels. Thank goodness we brought our own cleaning supplies and shampoo/bar soap. The listing indicated it sleeps 8 this isn’t the case. One bed sleeps one, another bed is so worn you roll to the middle. The outside was dirty, had weeds everywhere, the grill was dirty and unusable, pool toys unusable, and we had to clean the pool to use it. The host was unresponsive and I’m sure will argue my points. There is more I could write but I’m not sure it would help. Glad I did trip insurance. Oh, there was a band aid stuck to the patio by the pool.

Paid for 4, left after 1

After staying in some nice vrbos, this one let us down tremendously. Not enough pillows (kids were using throw pillows) or beds (son slept on the couch). I assumed sleeps 8 meant there would be a fold away or something similar. 1/2 roll of toilet paper in the entire house and 1 bottle of shampoo/conditioner between the 2 showers. No dish soap and not enough utensils. We took off the next morning and never looked back. Would have been nice to get a refund but no regrets leaving. Best decision of our trip.

Our family stay

We enjoyed staying here. Playing in the pool and grilling outside. The home was clean and the check in process was very easy. The only issue we had was there weren’t any pots to cook with ( only pans) and the garbage can was way too small. We also had to buy some hangers for our clothes. The overall experience was a pleasure. Thank You Mike! ( our host)

Vacation in Scottsdale

House was in a good location. Resturants and stores within 5 min drive. Owner responded when we had issues. We had issues with the AC for 3 nights then a HVAC repair showed up. Minimal kitchen utensils if any at all. Well stocked on toilet paper though. Kitchen faucet leaked and had no pressure. TV was small for the living room. Backyard was cluttered with garden hose and other stuff.

Scottsdale stay

Need some up keep. Needs were a little short. No toaster, light on eating and cooking utensils. Beeding was okay, lacked good pillows. Would like a little more useful information provided on near by attractions and things to do and see. I had no contact from the owner or manager prior to check in I sent a message the day before we flew in and all he had to say is you cant check in until 4pm. I get that but wanted to let him know we were coming and that we would need password or codes to enter the property. I got that on the drive to the property when I messaged him. I have done one the last four years for spring training and other vacations we have taken. this was by far the worst prepared home I have rented. I think with a little up keep and getting ready for your customers this could be a nice stay. But until then it is a subpar property.

Filthy Property - Terrible Host

Let’s just say that we left and went to a hotel after we found dog poop and a hair ball in the shower. In addition, there was dog poop all over the yard, a partially smoked blunt on the counter, the furniture consisted of a couch and a small table for the entire home, and there were no pillows with pillow cases for sleeping. Despite all these issues, the owner refused to refund our money because we initiated our stay and left before giving him a chance to clean the home. Sorry, my family’s safety comes first! I’ve been using VRBO for years and never had an experience such as this. My advice, run away from this place.
