From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble for Val and her staff, the location is ideal for easy access to the local amenities, breakfast was superb especially as all produce is locally sourced - I'd definitely recommend staying.

From start to finish staying at the old manse was a delight . Val welcomed us with a warm and friendly manner.the room was lovely clean and warm with a very good bed Good selection of things for a hot brew And the breakfast was fantastic a real quality full English cooked to perfection and piping hot we also had local kippers delish we cant wait to stay again ps very dog friendly 😋

Great stay, couldn't ask for more!

We had a fantastic 1 night stay here. Val, the host, was super friendly and welcoming. She couldn't do enough for us and made a lovely breakfast. The location is great, 5mins walk into town and ideally situated for exploring the Yorkshire moors, towns and coastlines.

Helpful and welcoming staff. Room found on ground floor for us, cup of Yorkshire tea offered on arrival. Good breakfast, to order the night before. Well situated close to centre for NYMR and restaurants. Very quiet situation.

Surprising Pickford

The location was ideal and the town of Pickering was very charming with a surprising number of interesting attractions. There was a castle, a museum and, the point of the trip, a now famous classic car auction site (Matthewsons).

Friendly and warm welcome from Val when checking in. Even offered us tea or coffee in the lounge. Good system to pre-order breakfast the night before. What a wonderful selection to choose from. Very friendly and efficient waitress greeted us and we were served what must be the best breakfast in Yorkshire! Highly recommended.
