The Palms Apartment
Villa Santa Giulia is located in Alta Maremma Tuscany, in the immediate hinterland of the Gulf of Follonica, a zone of the Tyrrhenian coast that opens from Piombino to Punta Ala in front of Elba Island. The villa is 800 meters from the beach of Torre Mozza, a coastal resort known for its beach and its dunes, a protected environment of the Sterpaia Coastal Park.
Overlooking the hills of secular olive trees and Mediterranean scrub, at the border with the Montioni Park Nature Reserve, Villa Santa Giulia enjoys a particular morphological situation characterized by very favorable climatic conditions that also allow the growth of palm trees, mimosas, Agave and aloe.
Family home since the mid-1800s, it was originally a farmhouse that produced olive oil in its mill. Subsequently the original structure was transformed into a manor house and the crusher remained the old stone mills. At present, agricultural activity takes place in the nearby company of Banditelle, in Val di Cornia, where mainly durum wheat, rape and sunflower are produced.
Villa Santa Giulia is immersed in a park of over two hectares, where oak, oak and pines grow, as well as dwarf palms, mimosas and laurels, creating an environment of a particular microclimate, where they can grow ferns, agaves and aloe. The present physiognomy of the park and the house is the result of time and the centuries-old plants that are there mirror the styles of the period in which they were planted. In the park there are areas equipped with umbrellas, tables, armchairs, to relax and enjoy the surrounding environment. Wide open spaces allow for fun and sports activities of various kinds.
The apartments available to guests are two and are located on the first floor of the villa. They enjoy a particularly favorable display for the brightness of the environments and the exchange of air, facing each other on the two opposite sides of the house, one facing east, the other to the west.
The first apartment of about 80 sqm consists of a living room with fireplace, a kitchen, a large double bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds and a closet. The bathroom includes a bathtub and a shower. Access to the apartment directly from the garden through an outside staircase. The apartment comfortably houses five people.
The second apartment of about 68 sqm consists of a large living room with fireplace, separated by a bow from the kitchen, a bedroom with two single berths and walk-in closet, a bunk bed room and a small closet. The bathroom is equipped with a bath-shower. Access to the apartment from the central door and from the internal staircase of the house.
The apartment comfortably accommodates four people.
Both apartments are fitted with well-equipped kitchens with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker. In the bathrooms there is a hairdryer and a washing machine and in the storage room there is iron and ironing board. The rooms have ceiling ventilation blades and, on request, they can have a cot for children. All windows are equipped with mosquito nets. The living room is equipped with TV system and WiFi connection.
