Blue Creek Resort is nestled in the heart of Pike County, Illinois - known to many as the Whitetail Deer hunting capital of the world. Whether you choose to drive in or fly in to the local airport, Blue Creek is just minutes away.

Added in 2023 - Pickleball! The tennis and basketball courts now have pickleball for you to enjoy. We have some generic paddles but encourage you to bring your own rackets if you are a seasoned player.

If you enjoy hunting and would like to have an experience in Pike County, please give us a call. Blue Creek's farm can comfortably accommodate up to 4 hunters at one time. We also have guests who hunt other farms in the area, but would like to bring extended family and take advantage of the private time away. Blue Creek Resort is perfect for you!
Whatever the time of year, or your heart's desire, Blue Creek Resort is calling and we would love to host you!

As you enter the resort, you may be greeted by one of the many deer who visit, or a flock of turkeys on their way to somewhere. Kids and adults, alike, enjoy the full basketball court, and regulation tennis court. If sports is not your game, you may want to take a nice stroll through the woods, or travel to Lake Pittsfield a short 2 mile drive where you can fish. This is a beautiful area for you to cast a reel, or simply sit and enjoy the wilderness that surrounds you.

In the summer and warmer months of the year, the 20x56 pool is open for your pleasure. Many guests enjoy sitting under the pavilion watching a baseball game while the kids swim. You may also wish to turn off the TV and turn on the outside stereo system. The lights on the courts will allow you to play games long after darkness has arrived.

There are so many amenities that come with the property, but the best Blue Creek Resort has to offer is the peace and serenity of your own private oasis. While you are a guest at Blue Creek, the entire resort belongs to you.
It is the perfect setting for a small venue wedding, family reunion, or informal business gathering. There is plenty of space surrounding the outdoor recreation area perfect for a small gathering.

Our family reunion was amazing! Every one really enjoyed the property, seclusion, and the ability to stay up all night, swim, etc. We loved how there was so much space for each family and the kids to enjoy, yet have a a quiet place to rest. The kitchen had a lot of the common stuff we needed. We did have to run out to buy some things like shampoo, toilet paper, etc because it wasn’t provided. On their vrbo listing, it listed a hot tub but there wasn’t any. It didn’t really bother us though because the heated pool was so nice. The loft in the masters was kinda weird and unusable as it was more of a big closet. The basketball court had a tile different flooring so we were unable to play pickleball as the ball didn’t bounce well. Most of all, We appreciated how Becky and David were quick to fix the door knob that kept falling off and they were very responsive to all our texts. Another unknown are the cameras on the property. They were not listed on the vrbo but there are 3 of them, to which Becky responded quickly to explain.

Our family had a great time. With 9 adults and 11 kids (ranging from 1 to 15 years old) everyone had a blast. So much to do to keep everyone entertained. We look forward to visiting again.

Our church small group has come to Blue Creek for 3 years now for a little weekend getaway. Becky and David have been so accommodating and prompt in responding! We had a wonderful stay, and the house was just as we remembered, with a few upgrades, even! We cook all our meals in the kitchen, and it basically has everything you need! There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and lots to do. We enjoyed pickleball, pool, swimming, and playing board games. Thank you for having us again!

Our family was very impressed with everything at this beautiful resort. The room to spread out, the games and the quiet setting were awesome. And the pool was great! Took my six children and my six grandchildren and we had a few nights together. Great family time plenty of things to do from playing games to tennis to basketball to pickle ball to swimming. We even did 1000 piece puzzle.

We had a great vacation here! There were plenty of activities for all of the kids ranging from 3-23. One of the things we liked best was the covered area by the pool, it was always being used. The tennis court was a bonus & it was nice you could see it from the pool area. Our whole family enjoyed it & we would defiantly come back!

What a fabulous setup for a college friend reunion! Twenty-two sorority sisters from around the country had a great time at this spacious house! We had our own version of "Olympics" using the garage games, lounged around the pool, learned how to play pickleball, and took and epic sunset photo in front of the fountain. Highly recommend for a large group!

This was our second year staying at Blue Creek Resort -- we booked right before COVID happened, and the owners were SO gracious to allow us to keep postponing our stay due to the pandemic (THANK YOU!). I am so happy we were finally able to make the trip, and it was every bit as fun as we remembered it from last time! This is the perfect house for a quiet getaway in the country for a large group of families. We had some teens that got into the corn fields and caused some damage, so we paid a $200 fee taken from the security deposit -- I know that was our fault completely, but just to be extra explicit, perhaps it should be listed in the handbook in bold somewhere that the corn fields are off-limits. There was a little path into the corn, so our kids stumbled upon that and went in. Anyway, the house and stay were great. A few notes for the owners: The downstairs bathroom (the non-pool bathroom) has a tiny drip in the faucet that we couldn't get to turn off... really really slow drip, so not sure if it's even an issue. May want to invest in some smaller bowls in the kitchen, but other than that, there were PLENTY of plates/servingware for us to use! And a note for future guests -- bring your own paper towels, napkins, tissues, trash bags, etc.

This was the perfect place for our 10th annual four generation family reunion. The house and property were beautiful and just perfect for our weekend. I love that all of the outdoor activities were centrally located so my 98 year old grandma could be a part of everything going on with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Amazing property!

The property was amazing, and exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a place with plenty of room for all of us to spread out, and with plenty of activities on site. We thoroughly enjoyed having several days to just relax, unwind and be together. And we took advantage of everything! Swimming, tennis, basketball, ping pong....and gathering on the back patio to visit. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!
