Poolside Villa No 2, on a Beachfront Complex Free Wifi

"These are the positives: Having stayed in Sands beach before, i already knew what to expect. It was spacious, and included almost everything one would need for a self catering stay. The was a full hob, oven, toaster, kettle, and a wide range of kitchen utensils. The apartment could quite easily cater for 4 people with no issue. Location was nearer the bottom of the complex, which was great, because it meant just a two minute walk to the promenade and a small local beach. Just outside the entrance to the apartment was a decent size swimming pool. You have neighbours to either side, but everyone seemed to be respectful with regards to how much noise they put out. The apartment is very bright are airy having multiple skylights dotted throughout.The areas to improve: Upon arriving, i found that the cupboard above the fridge had not been cleaned properly and was a bit dirty. The apartment could do with a bit of a spruce up, and some areas are in need of a bit of maintenance. I was only given two pillows on the double bed, and they were really uncomfortable. They do not support your head and neck at all. The sheets were a bit tatty and need renewing, with a hole in the base sheet. Any other pillows/covers which were available, were thrown in a heap, like you would expect in lost property. No other pillow cases available to make use of other pillows. The fans were rotten, and i had to clean one to use it.I enjoyed the stay, and would do so again. But, improvements could be made."

Sunny Terrace Wonderful Views Complex with2 Pools with AC

"We enjoyed a great stay in the property. The apartment was clean, bright and welcoming. The check-in instructions were thorough, although only supplied the day before the stay. It would have been nicer to have the instructions 3 days before to avoid last minute worries.The apartment is set within a complex of many other apartments. Within the complex were two swimming pools, one shallow one for children and one for grownups. The kids pool had plenty of sun loungers and parasols, but there was little sun cover available in the adult pool. The pool was clean and secure. There was a bar next to the pool but we did not make use of it.The apartment complex was close to shops (450m) and the beach (750m). The local Spar supermarket had all the essentials you would need. We have a nice meal and drink at Cactus Jacks bar/restaurant on our first night. The beach promenade was clean and not too busy, despite being peak season. The two beaches had plenty of space for sunbathing and swimming. Sun longers and a parasols were available to hire (two loungers and one parasol was 17). There was a good array of bars and restaurants along the seafron and further inland. All prices were very reasonable. We went to the Teguise market on Sunday (a must do activity...but get there before 9.00am). The volcano coach tour was excellent (but you must book ahead). The Cactus Garden was above expectations and worth a visit. Overall, a wonderful week in Lanzarote. Better than Tenerife!"

"Great little find. Immaculately clean, great staff, lovely pool. Rooms great with pretty private balconies. Room can get hot with no air con. Breakfast fab. Great bar with very well priced drinks and food. 10 minute walk into Costa Teguise. 5 minute from beach, supermarket, 2 minutes from taxi rank or bus stop. Highly reccomend, we will be back. Thank you"

"We had a wonderful three day stay here! Our room was spotless and had beautiful tiling in the bathroom and on the balcony. The two pools are gorgeous, always plenty of sun loungers available (and they will get more out for you if you need). Enjoyed 7.50 cocktails at the pool bar! Breakfast was great, big selection of delicious pastries, hot items etc and a station cooking omelettes and pancakes. Dinner was also good, again there is a station cooking steaks, pork chops, fish etc to order and dinner has a different theme each night of the week. 10 min walk to the beach (would recommend Playa del Jablilo over Curachas as it's nicer for swimming) and lots of bars and restaurants nearby for drinks and lunch. Would 100% stay again."
Los Zocos Impressive Lanzarote

"Our second stay at Los Zocos (5-12 July) following a trip there in Feb of this year. It was much busier this time compared to February. The only downside was the race to get a parasol in the morning. One family was getting up at 5:30 to secure theirs and we ended up having to get up between 6:00-6:30 to find a decent spot. It was hot so we needed a parasol to stay by the main pool all day. The quiet pool is less busy though. That was the only negative. LOCATION Just amazing. A couple of minutes walk to the beach with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. Costa Teguise is relatively flat so good for long walks. APARTMENTS We stayed in Block C this time and loved it there. Our balcony overlooked the quiet pool and was shaded in the afternoon with a lovely breeze. The beds are very comfortable, it's clean, quiet and perfect for us. FOOD Great choice with something for everyone. Proper bacon in the mornings is a bonus. Lots of chicken, meats, fish, pasta, chips, veg etc. Snack bar does lovely food - paella, pasta, burgers, hotdogs, chips... DRINKS Standard local booze, slush, tea/coffee. All pretty standard across AI. STAFF This is where Zocos excels - the staff are all AMAZING! I wish I had more space but they are all so friendly and helpful. Special mention to the lady in the restaurant who always found me a nice cool table under the AC and Alejandro in the Galleon bar - what a couple of legends! There are loads of activities throughout the day and evening with the team."
