"Great location in Old Town, loved the antique style which was very in keeping with the surroundings. Staff and Hristo the owner went out of their way to be helpful and we really appreciated all the little extra thoughtful touches such as a handwritten personal welcome notice displayed in reception. "The rooms at this hotel are huge and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. It's a large property, so there are many additional amenities that can be purchased (spa services, a casino). The location was convenient to Old Town Plovdiv and the staff was friendly. The rooms were a good value."

"It is listed as being located in downtown Plovdiv, but unfortunately, it is actually about a 25-minute walk from the city center. In front of the hotel, there are several buildings that are falling apart, which makes the view from the windows quite unpleasant. The rooms at the back of the building are very dark and receive no sunlight at all. "

"A last minute booking. Communication was excellent and the owner let us park and check in early. We enjoyed a coffee at the cafe next door whilst they finished preparing our room. The owner greeted us and spent time showing us the best walking route to take, to see the wonderful town of Plovdiv. The hotel is on the doorstep of the beautiful old town. Breakfast was a very tasty typical Bulgarian breakfast served to your table. We loved our overnight stay and would recommend. "

"This is the most beautiful old hotel right in the old city. I had a little trouble finding it as you have to pass through the barriers to get access to the old city. Looking at Google maps, I mistakenly thought access was on the main road. Hristo, the owner, had registered my car details so I was waved through the barrier with no problem. I arrived 15 minutes after the receptionist was supposed to leave but she waited for me. They've gone to a lot of effort to reflect the character of the old city. I was only there one night but will make sure I return as it was beautiful. Don't expect an elevator as it's an old building. "
