"The room had a slightly funny smell. So did the hallway. It wasn’t terrible but I noticed it each time I came and went. The HVAC was also very loud. The fridge worked but seemed a little warm to me. Microwave was small and took a while to warm things up. We were near the front desk and heard loud talking around 6am, which woke me up. I don’t think it was from the front desk, so there’s not much they could do about that. It felt dark in the room, the bulbs were very cool/flourescent, so I didn’t want to spend much time in the room. Couldn’t figure out the tv so we just turned it off and went to a movie theatre. The breakfast was better than I expected: waffles, sausage links, eggs, bagels etc. The coffee was better than typical hotel coffee. I stayed here on a college visit to save money, paid $105 per night with taxes. I plan to return to the area and next time I’ll spend a bit more for cleaner smell, better finishes, and better lighting. It wasn’t bad, I would say it was priced right. I usually stay in places that are closer to $150, and I would have been less happy if this cost that much. The staff was very friendly and helpful though, no complaints about them at all! "

"This was a fine and inexpensive property to use while visiting downtown Lynchburg. The hotel is quite dated, and some of it appears to be closed or undergoing construction. Nevertheless, the price point and the location are selling points, and I would certainly stay there again for quick visits to Lynchburg."

"Staff was all very friendly and accommodating. I liked having the sink and shower in 2 different areas. Our refrigerator never worked properly. Water pressure could have been better. Food options were poor. "

"Sheets were changed but remainder of room and bathroom were NOT at all cleaned! Used napkins, spoon, timesheets, crumbs, dog kibble, empty bottle of liquor! Shower drain clogged and we showered with water above our ankles. We went out to eat breakfast and told housekeeper we were returning to brush teeth. We refurned and she was in our room!!!! Keep your valuables and financial identity on your person at ALL times in this place. We go to a yearly event in Lynchburg and will be staying inn our camper van in the future! "
