This hotel is all about location - steps to the beautiful beach and a 10 min drive to downtown PDL. Also, there is a bar & grill, pizzeria and bakery cafe right across the street! Rooms were dated but very clean and beds were comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly! Breakfast was very basic but we are toast & coffee breakfast eaters so it worked for us. The ONLY ISSUE we had was parking was very limited so sometimes you had to loop around a few times and wait for a spot to open.

Was a beautiful location on the beach away from the busy town nearby. The staff were great. Our air conditioner broke and they brought a fan and then fixed it the next day. Loved the views from the balcony and the breakfast in the morning. Parking was a bit fun to figure out as you share the lot with beach goers, but we were able to find a spot most of the time. Nice kitchenette and mini fridge. Shower was powerful and nice and hot. Really good restaurant about a 10 minute walk east along the coast called Sunset Beach. Try their traditional steak or any other beach fare available.

Abbiamo soggiornato all’hotel Barracuda per 10 giorni ad agosto e l’esperienza è stata a dir poco disastrosa. Già il check-in è stato un pessimo biglietto da visita: la tessera della camera, tenuta insieme da strati di scotch, non funzionava nemmeno. Entrati in stanza un odore di muffa e chiuso insopportabile e per completare il quadro l’aria condizionata era guasta. Scesi in reception, ci hanno rifilato un ventilatore dicendoci che stavano aspettando il tecnico, che non si è mai visto, l’unico intervento è stato smontare l’unità dal muro. La struttura è vecchissima e necessita di una ristrutturazione completa. Lenzuola,materassi,cuscini e asciugamani erano tutti logori in bagno la maniglia della porta era staccata arrugginita il soffione della doccia non si riusciva nemmeno a fissare.L’armadio è una semplice porta scorrevole con una barra appendiabiti che ospitava una cassaforte priva di serratura, inutilizzabile. I due letti singoli non si potevano nemmeno unire del tutto,restava sempre uno spazio vuoto tra i due. La colazione merita un discorso a parte: definire la povera scadente sarebbe un complimento era così scarsa che negli ultimi giorni portavamo noi stessi marmellate e biscotti da fuori. La pulizia era molto buona soprattutto negli spazi comuni.L’unica nota veramente positiva è la posizione: direttamente sulla spiaggia con accesso diretto all’oceano, meraviglioso, oltre alla comodità del parcheggio e degli spostamenti. Sconsiglio vivamente!

Soltanto per la posizione questo hotel merita 5 stelle. È costruito letteralmente sulla spiaggia, ogni camera possiede un balcone che affaccia sull’oceano assicurando una vista spettacolare. Per il resto la camera ok, molto grande, letto enorme e molto comodo. Abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema con il lavandino del bagno che è stato comunque risolto abbastanza velocemente dal personale che è molto molto disponibile e gentile. Inoltre la presenza di una piccola cucina rende possibile cucinare in camera. Si trova a pochi km dal centro di ponta delgada, sotto è presente un parcheggio pubblico gratuito e nelle vicinanze sono presenti diversi ristorantini molto buoni. La colazione è molto buona e varia. Consigliatissimo
