"The USP of this property is the amazing view down to Lago di Lugano across into Switzerland. There is also the interesting story about the old funicular railway to the rear of the hotel which closed in 1977 but may be refurbished and reinstated if funds can be secured.
It is a rural location, about 20 mins walk from the nearby town of Lanzo d'Intelvi and the bus service from Como drops you about 400m from the hotel reception if you aren't driving.
Rooms were not air conditioned but you do get a oscillating fan!

"We love the laid back, not crowded vibe of this resort. Perfect for families. The lakefront beach 🏖️ was our favorite and the curly slide was our daughter’s favorite. Delish pizza and gelato 🍨 Fun walks to Cima and Porlezza. "
"The property was beautiful and nicely decorated, right on the lake. Any questions we had were immediately answered by Sara and Max or Samik. Some instructions for the TV might be nice and perhaps also for the stove. Over all we enjoyed our stay very much and the small town of San Mamete. "
