very nice and quiet place. Thanks for the fresh eggs and juice and milk. love the dog Ash.
Jilba cottage was very clean and comfortable in a great location with amazing views. The firepit was an added bonus. The fresh bread and eggs were a lovely surprise. Jo was a great host who very helpful and easy to communicate with. Many thanks for having us.
Perfectly positioned between the National Parks and Albany. Welcoming hosts who went out of their way to allow my teens experience a glimpse of farm life. Nature was on your doorstep, view from the dining table was gorgeous, house was warm, clean and very comfortable. Numerous birds and kangaroos spotted. Definitely recommend this property!
The cottage is located close to the Porongurup National Park. It has a lovely terrace overlooking a garden with lots of birds. The house is tastefully furnished. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The cottage was comfortable and warm, with comfortable beds and a well appointed kitchen. The continental breakfast for the first morning was really appreciated.
Our views from the verandah were amazing and we loved the fire pit!
Thank you Jo and John.

We had a wonderful stay at Jilba. Quiet, picturesque and relaxing, nestled in the Porongurup National Park. We bought some of their home-grown eggs and vegies too. Lovely hosts. Most memorable stay. Di & Ant. Perth
We had a lovely time away with our friends as the area is wonderful however property and its conditions were not as expected Furniture is dated and wobbly, floors were dirty - we found rubbish underneath the lounges and possibly there was something unpleasant or dead underneath the fridge as smell was pretty potent. Bathroom had black mould all over tiles. We were advised to only bring our personal shampoo and soap and usually at properties you are supplied with day to day necessities however there was no dishwashing liquid, tissue box had one tissue left, 2 toilet rolls for 4 adults for 2 days, no dry wood in the middle of winter even though there is undercover area on the bottom of the house and the wood hut near by. In earlt morning and throughout the night we could hear activities below us, either machines for the farm or people were moving around. This is never allowed, privacy shoukd be at 100% and people should be left to relax and enjoy their stay. We travelled a lot and stayed at many properties and as a vacamtion property this one didnt have required cleanliness and necessities available for a comfortable stay. Definitely can do with a lot of improvement and spending some time cleaning.

We had a wonderful stay at Jilba Cottage. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The fire pit looks amazing. We didn’t get to use it as the weather wasn’t in our favour but I can imagine great nights sitting around the fire. The view is amazing! The directions were clear and Jo was quick to answer all emails. If you’re looking for a quiet, back to nature stay this is a great option.
We loved our stay in this luxurious and comfortable cottage that is flooded with light and surrounded by a beautiful garden full of birds. It's a real treasure!
Good spacious house area and thoroughly clean. Functional kitchen. Quiet and very nice area. 30 mins to Albany and near Stirling Ranges. Highly recommended....
This house was a simple, clean and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay because of the nice views and the fresh farm food was a nice addition. The one thing we felt was missing was a Smart TV. There aren’t any shops nearby, but the location is very quiet and peaceful.
The instructions for finding the property were easy to follow. The property has an excellent view. It is well equipped to deal with the cold weather we experienced with electric blankets and air conditioning. The kitchen is well equipped and ingredients for a delicious breakfast were provided. Also in a good location to access the local walks and climbs. A really enjoyable stay.
The property is a dream - backed right up against the national park, you can see Castle Rock Skywalk on the ridge line!
Our boys, both under 10, loved exploring the farm, which has magnificent views all the way to the Albany coast line. Magic sunsets on offer every night from the expansive second storey balcony.
Equally close to Mt Barker, Albany, and Bluff Knoll, we really appreciated how central the property was.
We really didn’t need to bring anything other than clothes and food - bedding was really comfortable (electric blankets). Although asked to be careful with water usage, showers were always hot with great pressure - so good after hiking around all day!
Jo and John put together a continental breakfast for us for the first morning, which was not expected - thank you. We ended up buying some produce before leaving, honey from their hives, garlic, Kalamata olives, chard, tomato sauce and apple cucumbers!
Couldn’t fault our stay! Fantastic!
Jilba lodge ist for people who want to be in a absolutely peaceful surrounding with a great view and a seat under the stars on the veranda.
Enjoy the fresh avos and olives from the friendly hosts from their own garden.
The cottage is in a lovely location with great views and with easy access (by car) to a number of National Parks, walks and scenery. The hosts were fabulous and available if needed. The cottage is very well equipped to do your own catering and the first morning complimentary breakfast was huge. All together it was a fantastic three night stay.
Had a wonderful few days in the Porongurups and the surrounding area, using Jilba Cottage as a base.
The cottage was very well supplied, warm, cosy and with a terrific view south. Jo and John were wonderful hosts. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.
Modern, well equipped cottage with great views. Very comfortable spot to stay in the area with easy access to Porungorups, Stirling Ranges & the coast.
The property was clean and comfortable. Good quality linen. Loved having the adequate kitchen to cook our own meals. It got very cold even in April but the beds were cozy. Location to the Mountains was breathtaking and close proximity to walk trails.
The peaceful location surrounded by nature was perfect as well as being close to walks in the Porongorup and an easy drive to The coast and Albany. Jo left us to ourselves in the cottage which was perfect for us with everything you could want and we really appreciated the first morning breakfast provisions left in the fridge for us. I am sure we will be back again in the future.
