Our Stay at The Kingfish

Wonderful weekend at the Kingfish! Our townhome had a great setup with lovely living space, bedrooms and kitchen. We were an easy walk to the beach and loved the beauty of the dunes along this stretch of the Cape. Great swimming and beach time!

Cap San Blas

We loved our Stay here. Great location. Short walk to the beach. We rented a golf cart which was fun also and made going back and forth to the beach so easy. We loved the low key non crowded beaches. The townhome was adorable. Very clean and it had everything we needed. A great use of space with the layout and loft! The owner was very sweet, informative, and easy to contact. Highly recommended.

Great Communication and Host Availability

We loved everything about our stay. Even the day of our checkin, Jeanie was available to call to go through the checkin process, and due to a last minute emergency, she ended up cleaning and preparing the property herself so that it would be ready for us. When we got there, she made sure we had no issues with getting inside and told us to call if we had any issues. We had a fantastic stay at this property. Nothing was out of place, everything was clean. Very short walk to the beach. And we overall felt prioritized as guests here during our stay. Would recommend to anyone and would love to stay again.

The place was clean but we ran out of toilet paper and paper towels. The beach cart that was there was broken down and was useless. We ended up having to rent one. The property was a little farther from the beach than we would have wanted. The time was okay.. not my best experience renting a property.

Lots of TLC needed.

The home needs complete updating on inside decor.. the televisions are all 90's box style.. The living room furniture is mixed matched with one sofa extremely uncomfortable. There is a sign on thermostat to not drop below 76 or air conditioner will freeze which at times we became very warm in the house. With lots of TLC and updates it could be nice. I notified the owner of all my concerns..she was there the next day and bought a extra new grill..new setting for the area down stairs, beach chairs. I helped her rearrange the upstairs deck and she received help from the roofer to remove all shingles and pick up cigarettes butts. The deck still needs pressure washing and new rugs painting would be a plus. This house was clearly not ready to be rented and never should have been listed under these conditions. I was given a option by the husband to evacuate the premises immediately and receive a refund because he felt I was belittling their efforts in fixing the home up post hurricane. Should there have been somewhere else to stay we would have done that. My children left on Saturday and myself on Sunday the reservation was through Monday. It was truly a unpleasant experience but a learning one. **** The home was not ready to be rented **** It also does not look like the photos posted on VRBO... maybe at one time but they are not up to date. I really feel I got stiffed but what can you do ??

Our stay was awesome! House was clean and as advertised. Close proximity to the beach access and kitchen and home had all amenities we needed to for a comfortable vacation! Jeanie was amazing to work with and a wonderful hospitable host! Highly recommend this rental!

Beautiful home

The host was amazing and the home was very clean and updated. There is a pretty good walk to the beach if you have to haul a bunch of stuff. That was really my only issue was the walk to the beach with all of our stuff in tow. Beautiful area. The home is also a duplex which I did not realize at the time of renting. We had no trouble with neighbors at all and the area was very quiet!

Great family vacation!

We had a great time! The only thing was, finding the beach entrances was a bit of a trek. We had to walk behind the house and up to the boardwalk in the next neighborhood. Everything else was perfect, though!

Dog friendly duplex

This was exactly what we were looking for. It was close walk to beach with boardwalk to the ocean. We took our boat and had plenty of room for parking. There was plenty of outdoor seating if you have time to sit. They had plenty of extra bedding and towels if needed. The community was dog friendly and almost all residents had dogs. Easy location to get in and out of and conveniently located.

Super Convenient home away from home!

This was a perfect place to stay when you are at a property with beach access and close to the Park Launch. Nice to be able to clean your catch downstairs and rinse the days activities away and then go upstairs to eat and shower. We appreciate having the ease and comfort of a home away from home. Nice place to unwind.

Great weekend getaway

Our family loved our stay here. It was the perfect size for our family, great location (15 minutes from Port St Joe and 15 minutes from the state park). We enjoyed the beach in the neighborhood but a beach wagon is a must if you have lots of beach gear since it's a 5-10 minute walk from the home. The overall place was great and the host gave us great tips about the area. Will definitely stay here again!

Great Getaway!

Our family (including a 14 and 16 year olds) and 2 close friends had a wonderful stay! Jeanie was so responsive, accommodating and a pleasure. We went scalloping for the first time and had a large boat in tow. Parking was not a problem even with a large truck and Tahoe. The location was great to access marinas and Indian Pass Restaurant within 10 minutes. Highly recommend!

Perfect spot!

This beach condo is perfect for a get away to San Blas! We stayed for scallop opening weekend and it is located perfectly between downtown port st Joe and the state park on San Blas for launching a boat! Plenty of space and plenty of kitchen equipment

Perfect location for a little getaway

Great for our family

The owner was a great help in getting us detailed checkin info and very informative when it came to the area. She made sure everything was there and was exactly the way it was described. The location was nice since we were a few minutes walk to the beach and not too long of a drive to some other close little towns that had cute shops and eating. The house was clean and comfortable- We would return!

Great little place

Quiet neighborhood and convientent to all places around. Will book again. Very accommodating and nice place. Stairs are right next to parking pad underneath the unit. Quiet little place in paradise!
