Staff needs to be more informative regarding how to access fitness center, TWB, etc. We did not realize we had to have a separate key for the fitness center. Also, door marked fitness center is NOT the fitness center. I love the dark rooms and quiet atmosphere. I will return. The above was just suggestions.

It’s in a great location. The facility is dated. Our room had a constant light musty smell during our 3 day stay, and we were unable to ever remove it. Not enough working outlets for devices. Restaurants are quite pricey. Fun to go up to the observation deck at Whiskey Tower and watch the sunset. The added daily “resort fee” really adds to the costs for what benefit?

I really loved the grounds. And I’m so glad we stayed here rather than a corporate hotel where everything would essentially be in one box. Tanglewood gives you an opportunity to explore, go multiple pools, go up the tower for a unique view, walk around the interior of the hotel, etc.. I really appreciate it that the staff went out of their way to make the trip special and really memorable. I would definitely come back again.

My wife and I were celebrating our third anniversary and it was an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly in our room was very clean. However, there is some deferred maintenance on a few parts of the resort that they seem to be working on and improving at a gradual pace so you’ll see some of that however, the location is awesome. We were able to just go over to the Highport Marina and rent a boat and go out on the lake. Once they do all their upgrades I can give them a five star on their maintenance and upkeep it is an older resort so that’s part of the nostalgia Work on their breakfast buffet items and make them a little bit fresher. Also, they have a tower that has a bar called whiskey bar at the top of the observation deck, which is amazing to see the sunset. Also, I do want to give extra recognition to Wendy and Dylan at work behind front desk, they were able to take care of us very well. They were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back there because of them. We live in Dallas Texas, so it’s not too far of a drive for us so we just found a new close to home destination

Upper management dropped the ball for a holiday weekend. We have been there before and staff was excellent. The Bar & Grill was understaffed. I actually felt sorry for them. Brandon at the Bar & Grill is excellent. I have a feeling he won't be there for long. There was only one bartender (should have been 2), there was only one person waiting tables (also should have been 2). The staff are extremely nice but due to the holiday were a bit overwhelmed. I don't believe management should have their staff stressed out like they were. I'm still on the fence about becoming a member.

Pool was great! And unlike many resort pools, the service for a beverage was plentiful. However, the main restaurant was closed on Wednesday of our Wed/Thur stay. On Thur night when we did finally get to go to the restaurant they over cooked our $50 steak. The pool snack bar was also closed and it seemed like housekeeping was short staffed because the hallways were lined with bags of trash and dirty linens all day. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

Staff was super property was pretty old our room executive suite at $420 a night had a really bad musky smell to it. Payed an extra $74 for a full breakfast which was basically a Holiday in breakfast. Way overpriced for what we got that's for sure.
