"The owners are very nice and helpful. The room was clean, the sheets and towels are good quality and were clean as well. There were more than enough pillows and blankets. There is a small table and 2 chairs to sit and look out the window. The bathroom is good size. The water pressure is good, with plenty of hot water. The floor is tiled, so it is very cold on bare feet. There is no breakfast, but they will get you bottled water if you ask. The parking is well lit. You can hear the traffic from the highway, especially the trucks. I like the sound. If sound bothers you, you, may want to bring ear plugs. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay. I have been coming here for years."

"The checkin staff and later that evening were a 5. Checkout we were not happy with. My daughter got sick and we asked for 12 checkout for her room only. We didn’t say she was sick. She said 11:30. She didn’t tell anyone as housekeeping came to room at 11:20. We called and again asked for time - she said she can have a “few minutes”. We don’t stay at Quality Inns but travel a lot and have never been told no to a later check if needed it. BTW the parking lot was pretty empty so I don’t think they “needed that one room”. Again the younger girl at checking was great and the gentleman later that night were great. "

"My room was supposed to be non-smoking but it wasn't and stunk of cigarettes. When I got there I rang the doorbell to check in, after several time someone showed up and the first thing he said was do you have a reservation? The towels were thin, I had only one washcloth, and there was soap but no shampoo. The ice machine was locked. There was no breakfast, not even coffee! At 8 AM for checking out there was no one at the desk for me to drop my car off with and I was not about to leave it in the dropoff box they provided. "

"The room was ok but, overall the value was not very good relative to the price. The breakfast area was not poorly lit, the OJ was watered down, the coffee was ok. I didn’t even bother with the waffle maker. The lobby smelled moldy and damp. "

"Our stay was perfect in every way! The house is amazing. Not only is it a beautiful large house, the hosts have thought about everything their guests could want. The kitchen had everything you need to cook incredible meals (and we did). It was a lovely space to spend time with friends, while having plenty of space to step away to work in private. The house was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The hosts could not have been nicer and made sure to check in to be sure we didn’t have any questions during our visit. This is absolutely one of the best homes we have visited and we would love to return!"

"Our group of 6 girlfriends had an amazing stay at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina. From the moment we arrived, we knew the weekend was going to be very special. The staff was always warm & welcoming. Shoutout to Scott at reception for ensuring a perfect stay! Dinner at Fresh Salt was delicious & the atmosphere was lively. Shuttle into town was a great option. Can’t wait to book another visit!"

"Room was spacious and very comfortable. Description did not match the room. There was a tub but it wasn’t a jacuzzi and there is no radiant heat in the bathroom as stated. There's actually no heat in the bathroom at all. Way overpriced. This room is not worth $600 per night. I wouldn't go back."

"Our host was very nice. The cottage was nicely decorated for Christmas, however, there was a terrible smell in the house that hinted of vermin. I also saw a mice dropping on a chair. We cut our stay short. The kitchen had stronger odor. It was disappointing because the house itself reminded me of the movie The Holiday."

"Staff is always welcoming and the stay is my favorite in Old Lyme. I feel at home there. "
