"Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Overall the hotel was nice. The decorating was a bit off putting and looked like it had been done in the 1970’s and never changed; orange and avocado green with brown carpet. If you can get past that it was a good place to stay. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of hot and cold choices. For me, the fact that it was open from 7:30 til 10 am was very nice. I would stay here again."

"We came to celebrate our anniversary, ride the Essex Steam Train for dinner. This was the perfect spot. We were in room 4 on the first floor, I have some physical issues and the first floor with a ramp to the entrance made it so I could actually help bring in our bags. The room was very clean and comfortable. The fireplace was my favorite feature. From the pics you would think the shower was a tub shower, it was actually a big shower that had a 6-8 inch step over. We had very nice views when we were in the room. The chairs in the room were very uncomfortable but we didn’t spend much time in the room. There is no coffee service in the rooms or in the lobby for early morning coffee.thats a bummer but Dunkin is a half mile away. I would place my order on my phone each evening and we ran for it early in the morning. We did fine in the restaurant once for brunch and once in the evening for coffee and dessert. The food was good and so was the service. There is a nice library/lounge that is very welcoming, lots of books, games, comfy seating."

"This was a very beautiful home surrounded by the woods. We were here for a long weekend and were able to spend a good amount of time here. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the place. there was not a speck of dust anywhere in this home. The bedrooms were perfect with large rooms, great beds with good mattresses and baths had very high quality soaps, lotions, all bath products. The kitchen is the heart of the home and this was so true with this home. The kitchen had anything and everything for cookware, strainer baskets, cutting boards, great knives, so many dishes, all matching,very nice appliances, and huge prep area. They have a wonderful supply of tea bags, a large supply of different spices, sauces, and oils. Our host Christoph was so easy to get in touch with if we had any questions; he also texted if everything was ok, any questions , perfect host. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much! "Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The house was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully situated on top of a hill, offering a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere right next to fantastic hiking trails. The hosts were amazing and incredibly accommodating throughout our entire stay, providing a great check-in experience and fast responses to any questions. They even went above and beyond by leaving us a wonderful welcome spread of wine, cheese, and fruit. We highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again!"

We picked this hotel because they have a restaurant and a bar for a drink after dinner, it was 8:30 and he was closing the bar he said it was no problem, he made the drink and gave us our bill at the same time did not talk at all and a little rude. I also read they have live music and they did not."

"The home was very nice and clean. The a/c and appliances all worked well, although we were surprised the refrigerator is very dated in relation to the rest of the house. It served our purposes well and we would definitely return here. We did encounter two issues that should be addressed. 1. The property is specifically advertised as including a beach pass. However, when I inquired about the beach pass upon arrival, I was told there was none. 2. The property was advertised as pet friendly and we brought our golden retriever and golden doodle and it was great to have them with us. What was strange was that on the day of check in I received an email asking for a “pet fee” to be charged to me credit card. When I questioned the fee I was told that there was no fee and the property was pet friendly. Perhaps just miscommunication on both issues, but the owner should look into both. Again, we had a great time and the house fit our needs perfectly, so those two issues should not overshadow the overall experience."
