"We have stayed at the beach on previous trips to Costa Rica, but we love the mountains even more—especially the cool, refreshing mornings. This beautiful property was the perfect place to experience Costa Rica’s tranquility and natural beauty!Our group had an amazing stay at this stunning villa. The views from the pool area are breathtaking, especially just after sunrise. The property offers wonderful privacy and peaceful surroundings, making it ideal for a large group.A huge thank-you to the wonderful staff, whose thoughtful touches made our stay special. Esteban had coffee ready each morning and prepared delicious breakfasts featuring traditional Costa Rican dishes, including eggs, rice, beans, and plantains. One morning, he even surprised us with freshly baked bagels! Sylvia kept the house spotless and even cleaned my muddy boots after a day of hiking. Their warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail made us feel truly cared for.Birdwatchers in our group were amazed by the variety of birds spotted around the main house. Two nearby waterfalls also make for an enjoyable hike. If you venture all the way down to the river and back, be prepared for a good workout, as the roads and trails are quite steep!Keep in mind: the property is located well down a gravel road from the main highway, as described in the listing, and a four-wheel-drive vehicle is essential. However, the drive is well worth it for the peace, privacy, and incredible natural surroundings."

Lamangata Luxury Surf Resort - All Inclusive

"Lamangata was one of the best stays I've ever had. The property sits high in the hills above the jungle with views all the way to the ocean, and the infinity pool looking out over the valley is unreal, especially at sunrise and sunset. The team plans everything for you. Each morning a hand-drawn chalkboard lists the tide times, meals and the day's activities, so all we had to do was show up. Our surf instructor started us off in the pool before taking us out in the ocean, which made learning feel easy and safe. They also set up a zipline and a trip to the Nauyaca waterfalls, and the transport ran right on time. The food was a highlight: fresh, colorful and made from scratch every day. Avocado toast, tacos, poke bowls, shrimp ceviche, BBQ ribs. Everything was delicious. The rooms are beautiful, with warm wood, stone sinks, soft lighting and a walk-in shower, and they were spotless. The common areas feel open and calm. What really set it apart was the staff. They were warm and attentive and made us feel like family. On our last day they gave us printed photos from the trip with a thank-you note, a touch we'll never forget. I can't recommend it enough and can't wait to come back."

"Increíble, espectacular solo les recomendaría dividir las cabañas en 2 tipos, las cabañas para gente con familias, hijos, perros y suegros 😂😂😂😂y otra sesión quizá las Villas Mountain View dejarlas únicamente para la parejas ya que mi esposo y yo fuimos en plan romántico sin hijos y en la cabaña de a la par colocaron a una familia con hijos que corrían y gritaban de un lado a otro."

"EXCELLENT!!! This place was a dream come true. The pool was Huge, very deep and swimable and really warm. We went with 6 adults and 5 kids and had the time of our lives. Watching the monkeys play on the roofs was something we will never forget. All the toucans and so many other birds flying overhead during the day made it so interesting and the Owls watching us swim at night in a nearby tree was a real treat to listen too. Spotting all the different wildlife on the property was so cool, we saw deer, lizards, huge frogs, a huge snake in the tree and other smaller mammals that made the drive too and from the villa very fun and enjoyable. The place was Very clean, maintained and well supplied. No complaints at all. You definitely need a four wheel drive to get back to the villa. But Soooo worth it!!!!"

"We truly loved our stay here! It's even more beautiful in real life. An amazing house, in an incredible setting. Our family loved the pool, dinners at the outdoor living space, the breathtaking views, and being immersed in the rainforest. The property is also in a great location between Manuel Antonio and Uvita. We received some great tour guide contacts from Josue, the property manager. We would love to return ASAP!"
