2/10 Terrible

Let me start by saying this short term rental is owned by a local business person who owns more than one property in Provincetown as well as a longtime, successful business. The owner does not manage the unit. It is managed by VueStay Vacations by Casago. I encourage you to read reviews of VueStay independent of those on VRBO or other short term rental apps. To reach the unit you must walk down an ugly alleyway lined with garbage barrels, or through a parking lot behind the building. The pavers at the back of the property are damaged and the stairs and deck up to the unit are in very bad condition. See photos. We had concerns, based on the listing photos, that the space might be too small but were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it is for a studio apartment. Certainly the location was great - center of town, 1/2 block from city hall, right near the ferry, within easy walking distance of our favorite shops, galleries and restaurants. Unfortunately, the condition of the apartment and quality of the furnishings were subpar for the cost. The carpeting is filthy and the linoleum is buckled. The bathroom is dingy with a vanity that is very low. The toilet is also small with a squishy vinyl seat that won’t remain up. See photos and video. There was no dowel on the toilet paper holder, so the roll had to be placed on the toilet tank. The sheets are threadbare and stained. The window shade is ripped. After settling in we wanted to shower but there wasn’t any hot water
