Property was newly remodeled. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Loved how many chairs they had by all the pools so you were not fighting for a chair every day. My biggest complaint is the way they do the dinner. They say you dont need reservations, but unless you are in line before 6pm you will not get in to dinner at the restaurants. They give you a buzzer and then once the buzzer goes off you have 10 minutes to get your entire group there, which is unrealistic. You also don't get to plan on the time you eat, so you have to be ready at 6, but might not get buzzed until 8:00. This system with the buzzers needs to be changed and allow people to make reservations for specific times. Most of the restaurants were over half empty at all times because the system is flawed. Luckily the buffet food is good so if you don't do the restaurants for dinner, there is always good food to be had.

We have stayed at the Fiesta Americana 3 times over the past 8 years and while it is still good value for the money, I would have to say there have been some cutting of corners when it came to the buffet and themed dinner events. Not a lot of Vegetarian options at lunch--maybe a veggie dog or veggie burger could be added to the menus? There have been some nice improvements to the property but sadly most of these(Adults Only Pool and bar, Mediterranean Specialty Dining Restaurant, and Veranda Restaurant for Breakfast) were only accessible to Club Level Guests. It would be nice if there was at an adults only area pool for regular guests. We had a ton of screaming kids in the pool the week we stayed and didn't feel like paying even more money for a day pass to swim in a quiet pool. Many other resorts (even cheaper ones) have an adults only area, just something that Fiesta should consider...... The specialty restaurants were mostly good and would say the Asian restaurant was very good. Our room on the 5th floor had a nice view and was clean and fairly modern. The bathroom was fine but not perfect...paint, finishings, tile etc were looking a bit worn and hot water in shower could be hit or miss. Staff were helpful and polite, but not quite as exuberant as year's past. We tipped well, but noticed a lot of people were not tipping, so maybe thats part of it? Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but found it didn't quite live up to our stays of year's past, but still good.

We were very happy with our stay, but were disappointed at the lack of accommodations for those with mobility issues. No ADA rooms were available and the transport up the hill from the main hotel to our building required bellboy assistance each time because our 80 year old mother could not get up the step to the trolley.
