"Booked rooms at the last minute… excellent accommodations"

"You know when you go into the nursing home and you get hit in the face with that “nursing home smell“. That’s what you get here. My husband and I went for a fun little getaway vacation and stopped at this hotel. Talk about taking the romance right out of it with that smell. The room was stale and everything (walls/furniture) looked like it had been hit a few times with a wheelchair. There was not a warm blanket on the bed, just a sheet. There was a wool blanket in the closet, but it was thrown in there, unfolded, like somebody had used it. The staff handed me a paper at check-in and told me to initial certain parts, one individual part being my nightly rate which was blank. When I said, I was not comfortable signing that because it felt like signing a blank check, he looked at me and just said he doesn’t know and he’s just pretty much reading from a script on what to tell me. So I hand wrote in the price of the room that I was told in the first place, and then signed my initials. Not the best customer service and seemed a little shady. "

"This hotel was a great price. Appeared fairly new! Lots of room and places to hang out in the lobby. Bar and snack foods. snack shop. Vending machines/microwaves and laundry service. Rooms were small but functional. Was perfect for a one night stay. Everything looked clean and modern. However - it all gave me an ikea feel. Like I wonder if it will last 2-3 years. Seemed like a flimsy upgrade. Our air conditioner was SO loud I hardly slept. I use a sound machine so I don't like quiet but it sounded like an old fashioned ice cream maker, then it would switch to a vacuum sucking up Legos, then back to the ice cream maker. AC worked great! Maybe that was just the room we were in. Other than the AC - I'd highly recommend it. :)"

"The Family Suite room was clean, the rooms are a little outdated but it goes with the theme of the retro classic Route 66 nostalgia. The check-in and check-out staff were very friendly and profesional. We even bought a couple of shirts and key chains with the Route 66 logo. All in all a great time and experience. "
