The Shortcomings: Infrastructure & Comfort The building suffers from poor maintenance and lacks modern refinements. * Climate Control: There is no built-in heating. Rooms can be freezing, though an oil heater may be provided upon request. * Security: Door locks are flimsy and outdated, which may be a concern for solo travelers. * Connectivity: The Wi-Fi is unreliable, utilizing a frustrating guest portal that frequently disconnects. "Breakfast was good and it’s convenient that it begins so early! Good location on the river. No 24/7 coffee or tea is a downside. Also, it’s misleading I think in the ad that the hot springs are inclusive or at the property - this isn’t the case."

"Family of 5 from Minnesota, stayed one night. Breakfast was great, clean and well presented. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent! We left our bags with them to go up to Machu Picchu and after we returned, they let us hang out in the lobby until our train arrived. Very, very friendly. Great value, would recommend 100%! "
