Nice little room. We were close to different dining options. Safe neighborhood. Loved looking at the old buildings nearby. It was interesting not having a person at the front desk. All in all, very good for the price.

The property is amazing.We had a memorable stay here and did not have any issues, the check in and check out process was easy and customer Service was awesome.I had never felt so sad leaving a hotel as it takes you back in time.Beds were comfy, neat,all toileteries were provided.Will definitely stay here next time i am in quebec city.

Great area for exploring QC. Plains de Abraham near us. Lots of restaurants and close to old town. Nice to have free parking. No staff on site but very quick response to we need more towels and shampoo conditioner when we texted. In advance i got lots of tourist info from very helpful person at online reception.

Hotel Charles-Alexandre Stay

Very spacious and clean. Great location as it is close to the Plains of Abraham and old Quebec City and restaurants. Just had some issues as check in and doors use only digital keys which did not work all the time.

We had a wonderful stay. The place was clean, spacious, and full of character. Easy check-in with digital keys and everything was well organized. The quiet neighborhood was perfect for walks, and there’s a park nearby for the dog. Walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and groceries. Easy parking and close to the highway. Highly recommend!

Initially the room I was booked into wasn't prepped/clean for my stay. I called management and they immediately organised a new clean/ready room for me. Facilities were good but needs a little updating in my opinion, for example the bathroom smelled damp, which is a shame because the lobby was clean and smelled nice. Location of hotel is ideal for a short walk into old quebec.

We had a nice stay at Hotel Charles-Alexandre. However, it would have been improved if there had been a concierge staff at the front desk. We had a few issues that could have been quickly resolved had there been someone to talk with, and someone to advise us as to local restaurants, shops, sights. The location was good, and the bed comfortable. No dresser in the room, just a small closet with no hangers, and no fresh coffee in the lobby. We had a dehumidifier/AC unit in the room that leaked on the floor and a window we couldn't close. Staff checked in daily via text, but someone at the front desk would have been very helpful.

Perfect location! Home away from home...

It was a perfect location for us! The property felt like an old school boarding house with laundry, a kitchen area (microwave & toaster oven), cozy entryway, and the ice and filtered water machines were fantastic! The onsite parking was tight (spots 9 and 10) so I'd ask not to be assigned there; and we couldn't figure out how to turn the a/c up higher so the room was a bit stuffy (pretty humid weather when we were there) but not unbearable. The staff were SUPER nice and helpful so A+ on customer service. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to returning.

Great Location. Not having a staff member onsite is interesting as is the all-electronic access. The staff was most responsive though remote. We are in our 70’s and in good shape but dragging luggage and ourselves up 33 stairs to our room was a burden. At least a disclosure that there is no elevator would be good.

We stayed 3 days; the location is excellent as we were able to walk downtown but also to the Cartier Ave. neighbourhood just west of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and the room was delightful.
