Clean, spacious and quiet room on the second floor that exceeded our expectations for a typical small-town; well-appointed room with a picturesque view of the Queen River and a relaxing gurgling sound of water flowing along the river; this motel is a great and perfect place to stay for either an overnight respite or a homebase for touring the west coast region of Tasmania; the property offers an onsite restaurant serving hot meals and pizza until 7pm for the last order in; note that there is no lift access to the top floor but rooms on the ground level are pretty much accessible; request for room number 213 on the top floor if you find the murmuring sound of the river calming and relaxing, I highly recommend this accommodation for couples, families and lone travellers!

We arrived on a rainy coolish afternoon, and were so glad to get into our spacious unit and have a cuppa. Lots of room, very comfortable bed, and we ordered dinner to eat in. There is a sizeable restaurant too. We were really happy with our stay, especially not having to go out in the weather for dinner.

The room was very spacious and may I say very clean. One of the cleanest motel rooms I’ve stayed in and that is a big tick from me 🙂 Bed and pillows were comfy. Staff very friendly. Location very good.

The property was very clean and its obvious the owners are upgrading it slowly. The dark cabinetry really let's the place down and could easily be upgraded by removing the decorative moulding, changing the handles and a coat of paint. This would make an enormous difference for not much outlay. The bathroom is very old and tired, but understandably a big expense to upgrade. Overall the service is great, the staff are lovely, the hotel is quiet, with plenty of parking. The bed is comfortable and also has an electric blanket which was a welcome addition. I'm sure with time it will improve even more.
