Perfect location

The hotel actually looks better in reality than in pictures. The location is perfect to explore the historic center. The staff is extremely helpful.

Property is charming and clean, staff is very friendly. But be warned, the rooms have no heat. If you ask, they will bring you a space heater which was effective but the bathroom will still be cold.

Great Value for Location

Great location for accessing historical center of Quito and the metro. Noise from street and above bar/restaurant can be excessive. The restaurant was convenient for late arrival and in-house breakfast. Staff is super helpful.

I had a really enjoyable stay here at Hotel Sucre for 3 nights. The staff were very welcoming upon arrival. Shirley was brilliant. The rooms were very modern, clean and spacious. The towels were new and clean also. I felt very safe as the hotel had a guard who was also very helpful. Food options were great with choices of dishes and drinks. I used the laundry service which was very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend staying here. The location is excellent, 1 minute walk to the Metro and only 3 minutes to the main square.

Staff was great, but spoke almost no English. The room was cold, with no temperature control. On my second day the front desk clerk found a portable heater for me. The worst thing was that the breakfast room and restaurant was on the fourth level and was only accessible via the elevator. The staircase between level two and four was blocked off so that there was no emergency exit and no way down from the restaurant if there was a power interruption–a definite safety hazard!
