The perfect place to end a full day of chasing waterfalls and viewpoints along Iceland’s stunning south coast. Check-in was seamless, and the staff were consistently kind, welcoming, and informative—exactly what you hope for after a long travel day. Our room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with a kitchenette, cozy beds, excellent water pressure, and a peaceful, quiet atmosphere that made it easy to fully unwind. The hotel has plenty of inviting nooks and cozy corners to settle into with a book or simply relax—something we really appreciated after being out in the elements. The 24/7 gym is impressively well-equipped, featuring everything from a treadmill and stationary bike to a rowing machine, weights, and more. The barrel saunas were a standout—such a unique and restorative experience, especially in the cold. Dinner was absolutely delicious—we ordered the burger and Atlantic char, both full of flavor. And the skyr cake? Truly unforgettable. Breakfast was included and offered a great variety of fresh, satisfying options to start the day right. We actually got snowed in during our stay and made the decision to extend for safety—and honestly, we couldn’t have chosen a better place to be “stuck.” The comfort, amenities, and warmth of the hotel made all the difference. Highly recommend for anyone exploring the south coast.

Hotel good and great breakfast. Clean and friendly staff.However, really dissapointed with hotel, who first asked us to request final night refund via Expedia given the extreme weather and, having gone through that process, then refused our refund on basis that booking was "non cancellable". Wasting our time and setting expectations. It was known that all roads would be closed and travel from the hotel impossible to get to airport. We have visited Iceland on many occassions, and in such extreme weather conditions, which do happen occasionally, most hotels and guesthouse accommodation provide refund in extreme weather, despite non cancellable status. We have had this before in Vik. All roads were , all fully expected, closed, and retaining the booking would have resulted in missed flights. We booked accomodation near airport. Hotel happy to profit from others misfortune and, apparently have a diffrent approach to different customers.. For this sole reason, would neither recommend or return. Sorry, but you let us down.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das außergewöhnlich freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal. Bei unserer Ankunft war die Schlafcouch noch nicht vorbereitet, doch obwohl an diesem Abend viel los war, wurde sich sofort und völlig unkompliziert darum gekümmert – ein toller Service! Auch am Abend im Restaurant erlebten wir einen sehr aufmerksamen, herzlichen und professionellen Service. Das Zimmer war für vier Personen zwar etwas klein, für eine Übernachtung jedoch vollkommen ausreichend. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.
