"Really enjoyed our stay Roxanna made sure everything was as we wanted. Breakfast was excellent cooked to order using quality ingredients. Would stay again. Be mindful that all rooms are up 2 flights of home type stairs so not suitable for people with mobility issues "

"Very good cottage. Lots of things to do in the area walking wise which is ideal for us as we love walking with our boxer dog. Very cosy at night with the fire on. It was the perfect stay for us at Christmas. Would 100% recommend!!"

"Lovely cosy, clean cottage, in a great location. Stayed over Christmas and enjoyed walks every day and carols round the tree in the square, on Christmas Eve. There are 3 good pubs and a nice cafe, a few minutes walk away. The little goodies of cake, cheese etc.. left for us when we arrived, were much appreciated. Would definitely recommend."

"Wensleydale pub and hotel in a great location in this picturesque village. As a pub,the fifteenth century inn works well with a choice of good beers. As a hotel, it's a disaster with very shabby ,cold rooms poorly furnished and with many defects. I can make allowances for the age of the property and the effects of the storm but the lack of basic maintenance and absence of customer focus is appalling. The heating system is capable but needs to be available 24 hours in rooms with no insulation and draughty windows. The attitude of the management team is defensive rather than accepting responsibility and correcting or fixing what is wrong/broken. Learn from my bad mistake and avoid this hotel. "
