"Do not stay here. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and the owner was incompetent - there was no apparent cause but for around an hour it kept tripping again so eventually I tried (without success) to sleep in my car. The hotel was dirty, no-one was available to help/serve breakfast etc, items such as milk in the kitchen fridge were out of date. It is a very old unmodernised property."

"We have stayed at the falcon several times in the past and every time the food, rooms and the staff are fantastic. We come from Canada and each time we visit bude this is our place of choice to stay."

"A really lovely holiday house. We were 2 families with 5 older kids and 2 dogs and there was more than enough room for the 9 of us. It was well equipped to have that many people too with plenty of cutlery, crockery etc which can sometimes be lacking. It even has 2 fridges so perfect for a separate drinks fridge! The local village is about a 15 minute walk down the road and has 2 pubs and a small shop. Unfortunately, the pubs didn’t serve food so that was a little disappointing. We also walked into Bude ( about 45 minutes) and there are plenty of lovely places to eat there. Great location for local dog friendly beaches too. The only problem we had was that the tv in the lounge buffered occasionally but it wasn’t enough to drop the star rating. I have to say the owner of the house was lovely and happy to help in any way she could."
